Replaced mine with the same and sometimes it was still not enough for inattentive road users. Then I opted for two Hadleys of 1 meter under the floor which works perfectly and wakes up inattentive road users immediately
The factory horn is quite lame if not embarrassing. What year is your Sprinter? I have a 2023 and the same camera setup. I got as far as the top 3 Torx before looking down just to check it out. I'm worried about breaking that camera housing if not the cable. It doesn't seem right that yanking the grill and the camera pops out of the housing only held by the pressure of the cable. Maybe you got lucky. That is going to be a very expensive repair. If anyone has any insight on protecting that camera or discoing it the right way. Thanks!
@@vandingo1 I installed the Owl PIAA Super Bass horn yesterday. Super Bass is a bit of an overstatement but big improvement over factory. I just detached the top 3 Torx and side clips and tilted the grill. Didn’t have to detach the camera wire and there was enough room for tools just tilted. The bottom clips were a pain and I wasn’t going to crack that grill by yanking which wasn’t working as it is a matching paint factory $$$ upgrade. Glad it worked out for both of us and we have a real horn now.
@@georgek719 you could certainly do that, I gave it no thought as I was following the installation directions. The little peep peep horn weighs very little, so that’s certainly not a worry.
