found you a month ago. have had light stream since. im now at 130 followers on twitch, i have 12 subscribers and its literally thanks to you. changing console streamers lives, one tutorial at a time. thank you for everything.
This video has changed my life! I sound so much better on stream, and in the party chat. I just breathe a little too hard into the mic which is just a me problem 😂, but everything works seamlessly! Thank you for this video.
Bro you are such a lifesaver, I had an old mic that I used with my Xbox and had a Y cable and it worked perfectly, I got a new mic for Christmas and tried the same thing and it didn’t work, I finally figured out how to use it, thanks man
I just got my self a fifine 688. I set it up just like you video and it works like charm. Although i do have to have my mic gain way up for it to activate the microphone itself. I am on xbox series X
Love this! And not sure on the gain. That's a new one for me. Go into xbox settings and turn up mic volume in there. Xbox has a natural gain control that you can't control, so as long as you cross their gate, it will adjust the volume for those in party
I turned my mic monitoring all the way down and had my friend in the party listening. It seems like when I have it down in the party setting the microphones controls work way better. Thank you for the help! I couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out.
The headset has a mic that u unplug an the headset has a aux plug in so u run the headset to the controller an plug the mic in through the headset mic port
i have a question, Is it possible to have the steel series dac, only connected to the audio, and also connect the fifine sc3 mixer with a dynamic microphone? I'm trying to do the test but I can't do it, I don't know how to get the audio out only from the steel series dac, because when you connect everything as you do in the video, what happens is that I do hear the audio as such, but The audio does not come out to the mic, speaking I connect the aux adapter to the steelseries and I take out the audio output and the mic output, when I connect that to the control, it works fine, but I no longer like the audio, since the DAC Yes, it does its equalization job and I like the way it sounds, I just would like to know if there is any possibility and if you can help me
So I use a splitter and I find my audio slightly feeds back into my game so my friends can hear themselves ect … do you have this issue the way you use it? … also I’ve used lightstream for a year now and it’s so amazing haha
A cheap splitter might have spillback of the signals, especially if the volume over the cable is too loud. I'd try and see about turning down the gain on the incoming volume over the splitter
My son wanted a microphone to use while streaming through Twitch. We purchased one but he has a wireless xbox headset. What do i need to make the wireless headset work with the microphone? thanks in advance for any help.
So I got a question. I am using the Astro Mixamp pro TR, I directly plug my headset aux cable into the Mixamp which is then plugged into the back of my xbox using a USB, I am concerned about not being able to use my headset because of this. Do I need to use a different headset because I do not have anything that can plug directly into my controller and the mixamp at the same time. What can I do to help with this, because I would like to keep using my Mixamp.
I got a brand new mic which is the Sennheiser Profile and on my pc it sounds great you know. But i managed to make it work on my Xbox with your methods but the mic quality is awful and low volumed and the there is a static sound in the mic. Does the cable matter because i used like a Corsair cable for the mic and just my headset cable on my xbox. Cause if it matters than i can breath easily if not ima panic
So to be clear, the headset will have to have an extra aux port? I have a pair of astro a40 tr, it only has one aux port which i connect to my controller. Did the splitter not work because of the headset or will a splitter not work in general? 🤔 I'm looking to buy a pair of Sony MDR7506 and use a stand alone Mic. I'm just breaking into this type of set up and it seems kind of confusing. I realize this video is from 2022 so not really expecting a response, but if you do, thank you!
I've seen other people say splitters don't work however I saw someone buy a turtle beach adapter for the controller then using a splitter on that, so that might work for u as well.
Hey, i dont know if you still respond on this, but i did everything, and it "works" but you can barely hear me, my mouth has to literally be on the mic to work... this is really stressing me out im on a series x
Could there be an Xbox setting that’s not allowing my audio to be picked up by the mic? I got the mic and headset from your bio, did everything you said, and it’s not working.
I had to use my laptop as the power source for my mic. I connected the aux cord from the mic as well as my headset cord (a turtle beach WITHOUT a detachable mic) to a splitter and it works just fine.
Well if the Xbox is just powering the microphone I could just plug it into a usb charger. And if I have audio mixer I could use a better mic and run the out put of my mixer to my controller
So I just need a bit of direction here. So I started using lightstream not to long ago and I have ran into a small issue. When I stream I use a camera that is connected to my laptop and in doing so it makes my chat lag. Almost like they arent timing up right. the audio is delayed when talking and you can tell. but when I add a desktop mic I cant be in a party becuase no one can hear me. I ended up resorting to using discord on my computer with the mic and headset connected. then have a second pair of headphones i found laying around to hear the gameplay. is very odd and I need a solution. any suggestions?
I’m trying with elgato wave 3 plus aux and wired xbox controller and headset with mic removable …. What i canbonly hear is a metallic sound , can you please help, i would appreciate a lot
Okay so I have bought everything exactly. I have hooked it up the same way. I am able to hear gameplay, and other people from my chat, but they can not hear me.
I bought the same model mic, but it doesnt seem to pick up any sound connecting it like your video states, or even with the adapter. Im broke and confused. :/
I used lightstream , and my sound in the headset is really not good, and my stream crushed.. all this with headset only. I think the whole transfer from console to lightstream and then twitch is too heavy.. what do you think?
Hey, I bought a USB mic NJSJ with with aux port in front and did everything you said and still it's not picking me,but I can hear my party chat. Any ideas on why?
Hey man I have a question. I’m in the market for a usb mic bc I’m a streamer that’s Streams on Xbox. And apart from your video all others say you need a bunch more stuff to make it work and be able to use the usb mic on your Xbox is this due to the fact that the videos our older. Do you think you can do a more in depth guide how to use it and show how it sounds. Thank you.
I can take a deeper look at it, but the setup is straightforward. What I showed in todays video was recorded not even a week ago, so it’s current. I also listed everything you’d need in the description of the video
Hey I don’t know if you’ll respond but I got everything but I can hear my self when I talk through the mic but my party can’t hear me and there’s a lot of static
awesome video. just a question I have the elgato 60X capture card and chat link pro but my team couldn't hear me so I got the usb mic but can't connect the chat link pro? struggling streamer on xbox series X your help would be very much appreciated.
Im slightly bummed that XBox did this. I bought a nice mic that I thought i could use for both my ps5 and xbox streams. But it doesnt have an aux port. I kind of feel like i just wanna give up on the xbox streams and focus on the ps5. I basically have to buy an entirely new set of gear just for xbox streaming.
@@DarkenedCyrus they do. I mean. Its partly my fault that i simply assumed that xbox allowed usb mics. But i knew they supported most webcams so i just kind of took that as "then they prob support most mics too". Lol. So i bought a blue snowball ice mic, but it doesnt have an aux port. Had i checked i would've chosen something else that i could use on both consoles haha
@@senyorlimpiogaming this video is for xbox and he uses USB mic in the video so I don't understand this comment as they do you use USB into the xbox but aux cord goes to headset
Hey buddy great videos.. is there a way I can stream a game where both me and my friend (different locations) can be on video at the same time while playing the game? I see it with some of the NBA 2k vss. on youtube but I'm not sure how it can be done. i.e. two video chats simultaneously while playing the game.
If you have properly set up the Twitch app on your console it should pick up the audio from your in-game chat or even party chat. Just in case go check your Twitch settings and make sure your microphone option in the app is on, if not then you just change it. If that wasn't really the problem then IDK how to solve it, sorry.
