Great choice of truck! Also the 22 inch by 10 inch wide wheel advice from Austin is ideal for a clean aggressive look without sacrificing comfort or towing. I have the same on my truck and it does not affect the towing at all. Just be sure to get an F rated tire to handle the weight. I have Yokohama Geolander X-AT tires personally and they are not noisy, look aggressive, tow great, and I have been running them for 45,000 miles with plenty left! You can see the reality of everything set in with the pack of wipes. Jimmy as a newish dad of my 3 yr old boy, it can be overwhelming but the greatest thing ever. Don’t blink. Because you’ll miss something. The sleepless nights will sound bad but shorty after they are gone you will end up awake anyways just watching them sleep in pure bliss. You can get really cool electric side steps for those GMC’s that tuck up really tight and actually look sleek and then fold down to use as a side step.
Jimmy! The cassette holder has a provision for the center console light. If you install it, it does light up the little indicators for whether a tape is present in the slot or not. I have one in my vert!

The dropping tailgate is to be able to have lumber or items that are long and awkward sit lower so they don't block you're rear vision or add drag. Also if you get a topper it can stay on and you slide the items underneath

Hell yea, I got one of those Initial D models a good 15ish years ago. There was an old hobby shop in Wolcott that had the white DC2 Integra just there in stock, and at some point they also had a set of red Advan wheels that I bought too. I even painted it in legit Shelby Wimbledon White cause my friend was working at Cobra Automotive at the time. Jim caught me off guard knowing who Big L is, respect.

@07:29, you add 2x4 horazontally in the bed of the truck they will prop up on both end of the 2x4 withthose grooves in the bed liner. this creates a flat platform level with that drop down half tailgate feature. for hauling lumber plywood ect.
Get bags in the rear for better trailering. Level the front. I’ve got 20x10s with 35s 12.5s and if you’re going to be towing a lot I reco stock wheels. I might switch back as my tires are almost up. Ask me how I know.

Thunderstorm Gray is sick. A lot has actually changed with the Duramax in 2024. Lots of improvements to the drivetrain. Glad you didnt skip out on getting one with the X31 package.

Jimmy get some air suspension/bags for the rear end for towing. will help keep the truck level if you ever haul anything super heavy. get a bash bar too. they look mean and if u ever need to push a car off track or something. If u do get a level kit, it wouldn’t hurt to invest in an adjustable hitch or a drop hitch. also not sure what color the truck is. maybe you said it and i missed it but since it’s like a light gray (at least on camera call it Nardo lol if the color is nardo gray.
Drop down is for long pieces of pipe and timber, because no matter how big America makes a truck they still have kei truck beds, in fact some are smaller
Please do a mini episode truck build. I wanna see the wheels and tires + color match and tint combo. And when you do. 20x12.5 wide wheels with 14.5 tires so it’s fire figment but still usable + no curb rash. It’s what I run on mine. Big trust

Car guy math is how i ended up buying my new car in awd. It was only 1600 more and i wouldn't need snow tires. Then i promptly bought two sets of superleggera wheels because i figured i could put snow tires on one set just to be safe. The car hasn't even been delivered, and i have two sets of wheels and tires plus the factory ones. Car guy math will get you every time.
