F Sport Sway Bars were the single best upgrade on my 3GS so far - massive improvement and much better handling, with no compromise on ride quality. Win!
For cars with endlinks, would that become the weakest link immediately? Some look incredibly flimsy. I wonder if they would provide additional benefit when upgraded .
Not necessarily. They are quite strong, despite their size and look. I have good news on the 2GS rear end links however, the beefy IS-F endlinks actually fit back there. 👍
I have a factory GS400 and a daily driver. I recently have heard a suspension popping sound when at a low speed and turning left. I raised up the car and looked around, I think it is the sway bar end links. Can you give me any pointers, could there be something else that is creating the sound? Thank you!
Absolutely check the LBJs. They’re notorious for catastrophic failure and it’s recommended to replace them at regular intervals no matter what. That’s where I would start, then a full inspection on other parts including UBJs, end links and pivot points.
@ForwardMomentum Wow. That's such an off-balance setup up. That's like a 1970's American muscle car stance lol. And all that stress on the front has caused no problems?
It’s not that bad. Remember, the stock gap is front biased. My goal with this car has always been an OEM+ build. The photos on IG definitely do not look 70’s raked. I would never have tolerated that look. 😎
I think it was a place on eBay and I bought them at separate times from different sellers. Just find an authorized Megan dealer and go from there for the best price.
Normally I would agree, but I’m not talking big power. It would be a small turbo with low boost (e.g. think VW GTI). With an LSD and the right suspension, also a ton of fun. BTW I’m a huge N/A Honda fan, but I’ve been down that road before on a D16Z. Spending $2K+ for a narrow powerband gain and hardly any TQ gains is dumb on a DD. I don’t want my son driving around at 6500RPM all day.
