I haven't noticed a noticeable beam of any kind. It definitely has a nice spread that in my opinion floods the ground in front but also a great flood to the sides. I'm loving them so far!

Hey Michael! Thanks for the comment! I'll be honest, I don't remember if it was haologen or LED... I want to say they were halogen but I could be wrong. As for the gap, there is a SLIGHT gap between the BD fogs and the OEM fogs but I think thats partly because the OEM is rounded and fills in the gap more where the BD's are flat and sunken in a little bit. It wasn't too noticeable but yes, technially there is a slight gap.

@@HorizonBoundpretty sure you had LED fogs based on there being a heat sink on the back; you don’t see that with halogen bulbs.

Definitely! Yeah, I've added some chase lights and will be adding a light bar so I plan on doing a follow up video using my drone to show the different light patterns and the brightness of each lighting set up. Thanks for the comment!

Great question! No, the ditch lights aren't SAE although both my ditch lights and my fog lights are Squadron's from Baja Design. You wouldnt want to use SAE lights as ditch lights as that would defeat the purpose of the ditch lights. The SAE fog lights are street legal and can be used ON the road because they have a horizontal line through the center lenses that cuts the light from spreading too high (which could be blinding for oncoming traffic.) If you used SAE lights for your ditch lights, they'd already be mounted too high so they'd still be blinding oncoming traffic but on top of that, your cutting out a lot of the spread that you would normally want in your ditch lights. But, to answer your second question, yes, they are the same color.

I really appreciate your response. I was going to order the ditch lights and fog lights in SAE just so that they would match. The website makes it loom like one is darker than the other and there are not many stocking distributors here in the SF Bay area.

@@elcuaterosas Actually, thank YOU! Your comment made me curious so I looked up more about SAE approved lights and found out that just because lights may be SAE approved, that doesn't actually make them street legal. SAE just stands for Society of Automotive Engineers which is essentially "an international organization of more than 138,000 engineers globally which provides technical standards and recommended practices when it comes to the design, construction and characteristics of vehicle components". So basically, they recommend certain ways that vehicle parts should be designed but that doesnt mean they're necessarily street legal. It needs to be DOT approved (Department of Transportation) for it to be fully street legal. So, even though my foglights are SAE approved and were created to meet SAE standards, apparenlty I can still be pulled over if a Police Officer doesn't like them or thinks they're too bright. But my reply to your question about SAE ditch lights still stands. I wouldnt worry about my ditch lights being SAE as they arent intended for ON road use. Hope this helps!

@@HorizonBoundyes, but trust you’re going to get a LOT less grief running the SAE lights because of the restricted output pattern. The sports just spray light everywhere…25% brighter but a lot more vertical throw.
