There was an update recently. I saw someone else playing with a different character that had a magnet instead of a claw for his second go and he was able to upgrade everything.

I hope that the devs rebalance mirror in the future so that it does not reflect thorns. It is completely unreasonable that spike damage can be reflected as it already counts for all intends and purposes as a form of reflected damage. Additionally, it means that there is no counter to the mirror debuff. It is horrible game design to not only give a buff to enemies that cannot be countered but also make that buff a massive detriment to the one build that by all reasonable logic should be designed to counter it.

Loved 80% of this. The edits between grabbing the items and then showing nothing was grabbed... why? It was frustration upon frustration so save... half a second? Also, that reflect guy I've yet to see anyone beat him. I've tried a few times... I won't be picking up the game because of him. I don't like a game that has one guy you can't avoid that you either just can't beat, or you need something so particular that it takes away any freeform to things. In a rogue-like, that's a deal breaker.

the strat is to use the small flufs so it only deals 1 damage, using the vampire if possible to ignore the damage, then go for the big damage stuff once mirror is gone, that is how i beat him a couple of times.

@@ace4542 While I am glad there is a way to beat him. Hoping to just have the right stuff that may not be how you like to play sort of counters the freedom a rogue-like like this often tries to aim for. I am actually glad to know he is beatable though.

@fadepanther6224 so vampire is the not the only way, but the fluffs are the easiest way, just group some shield with it to help with the reflected
