One of our valued costumers ask me to make upgrade service on his magnificent pearl... #trekdomane alr 3 disc. From shimano sora to shimano 105 r7020. I hope you'll enjoy watching this video as much i enjoyed doing the bike itself.

What wheel did you use for the casette as the domane comes with 9 speed casette ? Nice bike and cool upgrade. I have been thinking to upgrade to 105 however the rear wheel only accepts 9 speed casette or 10 but not 11 speed 105. Thanks for your answer

Hi there. I appreciate your comment. Actually All of the recent models of trek domane now comes with a stock wheelset that can accommodate 11 speed free hubs. you just have to remove the spacer that comes with it. But if you have a much older model, i would suggest to look for a new wheelsets for your plans. hopefully that answers to your question. and good luck with your upgrade plans. 😊😊😊

@@marvinbikemechanic6329 thanks for the answer it is 11 speed compatible. When you upgraded to 105. Does the bike reduce a lot of weight ? The riding is better with 105 but I was wondering about the weight ? TIA

Needs to tape the bars the right way though, tape bottom to top, stops the tape edges curling up and tearing. Did the same upgrade on my Trek.

You need to change the wheels because they are awful and pretty heavy.
