Till this day i still use the 1st version of Govee’s TV backlights from 3 years ago & still hold ups. It’s amazing to see how far Govee has come and can seriously compete with the likes of Philips, who used to dominate this market.

I have 3 govee light strips, 2 for these home made wall shelves I made to hold my DVDs and blue rays and 1 that wraps around my desk to give a nice effect. Love these lights.

I'm new to govee. I love every product I have used. The app is easy to use, and everything works together seamlessly. I've bought plugs, lights, and a lamp, and setup was a breeze. Very easy to use with Google home. Great video. Thanks

Hey Spawnpoint, loving the video as always. Great detail. Thanks to you I’ve gone for the Govee AI sync box and two Lyra lamps. One quick question, did you have to use a certain type of adapter to make the Govee AI box work in the UK. Mine is due from the states on Monday and I wanted to make sure I didn’t blow it or cause any power issues. I’m hoping the unit and plug can support up to 240v

You should look into the Lytmi 3. It is another light strip you can put on the back of your TV, except their sync box has hdmi 2.1, and they also have cable clips for the corners.

RGB Gaming. Nice gaming setup. My current gaming setup is actually inspired by yours. Clean with RGB lighting, but not too over the top to where it’s overwhelming. Some setups I’ve seen, go too over the top when it comes to RGB lighting, especially when the Lightstrips aren’t diffused or aren’t behind a monitor or tv.

RGB 👏 Great video! I use the Philips hue but my camera always picks up the flicking light (at 30fps). It seems that the govee lights don’t give you that issue.

You can fix the 2.0 problem easily with a simple trick. Use an HDMI splitter that gives you 2 out and working at the same time One goes to the TV and the other to the govee box In my case i have a home theater and Philips hue box and connected to my Yamaha RX-A6A. It gives me 2 out I have them working smoothly.. effect with the full 2.1 futures. 4K 120 HDR.

There's so many great Govee products, I've got two ropes and the Glide bar myself as well as 30 Nanoleaf light panels and I'm still after more, I'm really interested in the new Govee curtain lights too, all your setups are brilliant

I would prefer a lytmi fantasy box, which has 2.1 hdmi and supports 8k 60 hz, etc. I had govees products and they were fantastic

The Govee is great! Question is, would it work if I originally run all my media through my home theatres AV receiver? Would I place it before the receiver to get the connection to the devices directly, or after?

I noticed that you like to use Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart as the screen on TV most of the time. I never played any Ratchet & Clank before and I bought the game partly because of you. Awesome as always! Too bad the g1 doesn’t sync with de ps5 cause I have my second ps hooked up to a monitor. But it’s too small for the hdmi box. But very impressed with your setup!

Personal choice, as advice given by ISF calibrators, is to forgo any bias/ambient lighting if using an OLED TV. It may affect the viewing of contrast and deep blacks when viewing the tv. However, I use it on my LED/LCD TV.

Totally agree on the affect it has on the 'true' colours and contrast of an OLED (movie watching I often have the TV lights off). But for everything else I enjoy that RGB look.
