I've got a 563 too. What an awesome machine. I put a 45mm pulley, servo motor, and a box reducer to get it real slow. The price you got it for is amazing!

One of these days I’m going to add a reducer. It gets pretty slow, but I’d like to be able to go just a little slower till my skills get better.

Beautiful Juki . Stole it. The walking foot and servo motor will allow you so much more with confidence with heavier leather layers

Nice Job! I think the rubber doughnuts are intended to be in between the motor base and the table. This would help to reduce vibrations from the motor being transmitted to the table. It also may have helped with the loose belt situation. Cheers!

Thank you for this video, I have the same problem with my clutch motor machine, will definitely rely on your video to change mine. You did a great job!

What type of servo motor did you go with? Thanks for making this video!

This is the one I used. It seems pretty decent so far, but I am curious how it would perform with a 750 watt motor. amzn.to/3FEiqQJ

Thank you for this video. I am recovering from my head injury and my husband did just purchase a gently used same jerky. We pick it up tomorrow can you tell me please how to remove it from the table? We are used to the style of attachment that singers have, and this seems to be different than that. We were not able to get a really good look at how it’s attached to the table and I want to know what kind of tools to take so that he can remove it from the table and not damage it.

Mine is mounted on two swiveling pins along the rear base of the machine. To remove it I just push the machine back to take the tension off the belt and then lift the machine off those pins. It is pretty heavy so you want to be careful. I've never used a table-mounted Singer so I'm not familiar with those work.

Keep this in mind,,, By slowing down the needle speed you need to adjust the thread tension accordingly to the slower speeds and adjust it for the faster speeds, if not to slow may have a loose stitch and to tight may break the bobbin thread if adjusted to the wrong tension settin,

What length belt would you recommend for the 50mm and 45mm pulleys? Great video, I’m going to follow your lead and do the same

If I remember right, I just used a flexible measuring tape for fabric to measure around the servo pulley and the drive pulley on the machine and just went with whatever was the closest size.

These are the bobbins I ordered for mine: amzn.to/40aLJCJ If you go to amazon and search for juki lu-563 feet you'll get oodles of options. Good prices too.

Can this machine sew with T270 thread? and What is the widest stitch pitch in millimeters?
@andrewderocle
@andrewderocle 10 дней назад
I run 210 in mine I'm confident 270 can be done.... the issue I had is hook style. There's 2 part numbers 1 ends in "OAO" This hook is for standard threads t69- t90... then there's 1 ending in "BAO". This one's for larger threads. I haven't tried 270 tho. I'm getting 8mm max, between stitches 210 on top, 135 bobbin My lu563 is subclass 3 ( no reverse) hope this helps.

nice video! what size belt did you end up going with?
@BitsandWood
@BitsandWood Год назад
I want to say it was a 36”. I’ll have to double check.

@@BitsandWood Sounds about right my measurements came back with roughly a 35" belt. It is adjustable, so that is a ballpark figure.
@BitsandWood
@BitsandWood Год назад
I just checked. It's a 1/2" x 36" V. I think a 3/8" would have fit better, but this was on clearance. I've also swapped out the pulley on the motor for a 45mm pulley. One of these days I'm going to build a speed reducer for it.

Hi! Thank you for this video! I was gifted a LU-563 and had to take the clutch motor off in order to transport it. I thought it would be the best time to switch out the clutch motor to a servo so I ordered something similar to the one you recommend. I just want to make sure... If I am using a 45mm pulley, I'll need a 36" belt? Or was that the length you used with the 50mm pulley? My son works at an auto parts store so it will be fun to go in there and get parts for my sewing machine. 😂 What did you do with the old clutch motor?
