I recently got hooked and interested in the keyboard modding community, also trying to learn all of these keyboard terms and know-hows. Thanks for doing these types of videos, I might get deeper into the rabbit hole like this hahahaha
compared to the stock version the modded version definitely sounded better, just not great. Very nice mod video, and man having you voice over your videos is so so much better in my opinion
Hey thanks for the video, Im trying to figure out what size is this battery mine got stuffed and my keyboard really out of level but I cannot find the information on how much height has the battery do you know? I'm trying to find some battery at shopee or aliexpress but not sure which one will fit, there's no much space for battery on the case
awesome video man 🤘🤘 i'm new to this rabbit-hole of mech keyboard community and thinking about getting the rk71 by early next year. i did try using my friend's keyboard with linear switches(60g act force) and i kept on making typos, should i go for heavier linear switches in the future if i were to change them or just change to tactile switch with the same actuation force?

Hey I think it's because of the design of the keyboard, if u want a better sounding one I would suggest getting a gasket mounted keyboard, I have one on my channel the PG67 u can check it out
Based on the other rk71 modding videos, the switches are not hot swappable and requires soldering. How come the one that you have im this video is hot swappable. I am planning to buy one for me and i need clarification for this model.
Hey! I think most units in Asia now are the latest hotswap version, even newer versions now come with the plate foam. I would suggest checking before buying just to make sure. Because there's not really a model number or code to verify 😅
@@itssamueltan thank you so much for the quick response. I ordered rk71 in banggood. I am not sure if it's hot swap or not unless maybe i open it. It's crazy to think that there is no indication in the product wether it is hot or not lol. Hopefully it is coz i am start to modify one for my wife. 🤣
@@vinzab3347 I have an RK71 bought on Amazon (US) and sadly I dont think mine is hot swap. I tried pulling a switch out, but it didnt come out easily and I dont want to break it so I stopped.
@@itssamueltan the stock switches have interference too? i thinking of buyin cherry keycaps but don't want to purchase brand new switches cuz i just lubed n i liked how it sounds.Seen many others video say it will cause interference for north facing pcb and i want to try cherry profile keycaps.Can you tell me i don't to buy it and regret it later😂
@@itssamueltan Every youtube video on RK 71 ,is showing it is not hot swapable , even on websites nothing like hotswapable mentioned , everything is soldered to board
