Upgrading My Springfield Hellion 

Just picked up one in FDE. Can’t wait to build memories and experience with it.

Got one! Love it! I really like iron sights but wanted a scope so i figured out a way to have both without an offset! So i have 2 flip to side magnifier mounts with 1 inch scope ring inserts for my 2x7 lpvo scope and flip that to the side for iron sights!

The rifle looks great! The only thing that I had an issue with when shooting it was the trigger. They've got to come out with an upgraded trigger pack/assembly.

Great rifle. Iove the 1-6 scope on mine positioned forward, this way I can with stay in its shortest configuration and shoot in prone or upright. I slapped an inforce light and run it with a HuxWrx flow can. It loves the 75hp rounds

Venom is my primary optic on it as it plays low and co-witnesses the iron sites. Don't want to add bulk to something like Hellion. If anything I would put a flip on magnifier with another slightly larger red dot. VORTEX EAGLE STRIKE is another excellent LPVO. Even comes with ranging reticle inside and all else for under $400.

I ended up opting for the eotech on mine with a 3x magnifier if I needed a bit of magnigication. An LPVO didnt work super well for me based on where I position my head I had a bit harder of a time with target acquisition, but a lot of that boils down to preference I see tons of people loving LPVOs on it. Other than that I have a similar set up. The hellion is a rifle I like a lot I dont mind a heavy trigger, but the spoungieness is my only real complaint. If someone comes out with an after market trigger that is way less spoungie I think it would greatly improve the rifle.

Was/is there any concern with the surefire cable being ran how it is vs. heat?

i want to see someone come out with an SBR conversion kit or a 13.7 P&W with a shortened handguard best modern bullpup btw

Why not flip the lpvo to side and use the iron sights??

Does the 45* mount actually allow the RDS to be centered over bore? Most are intended for use on an AR, and I would think the height over bore difference would cause it to not center properly. Likely not an issue inside 100yds though.

How does the heat of the barrel affect your cable for the light pressure pad?

have you had any issues from the heat of the barrel causing the cable to the pressure switch to melt or heat up to much.

Do you know anything about a trigger upgrade?

Did you need a special offset for the light mount? I’ve seen some folks having an issue mounting the light inline.

Any issues with the surefire light and the switch?
