We are back in the workshop and some new machinery has arrived. Our band saw machines were well overdue on an upgrade so we were very happy to recieve delivery of this FEMI N250 DAXL bandsaw.
Watch along to see the unboxing and first cuts. In and upcoming video we will be building a stand to move this beast around our small workshop.

Just randomly found your channel whilst looking for reviews on this saw. Really enjoyed the content. Have you had much chance to play with stainless yet? Such a shame there's no speed adjustment on the saw for single phase :( would really have been a decider for me I think...

Hey Dan, Im glad you found the channel and its even better you enjoy the videos! Yes, we have cut some more stainless tube & flat bar. So far it has been very good! we are still on the standard blade which has lost a few teeth from some learning errors but It performs well. so far, I have not seen the single speed holding us back, I will keep you posted though... we are going to switch over to a new blade from our local supplier soon and really let it eat through some material. I am thinking of keeping a carbide coated blade for stainless if we see it chewing them up.

You could have adjusted the movable guide nearer the vice a couple of inches !. Lovely saw.

Thankyou for your review, I have a femi 120 abs but Been contemplating the 220 daxl or the 250, the one thing putting me of the 250 is the blade speed doesn't seem to have adjustment only downfeed speed, what's blade life like on stainless tube, the 120 will eat blades on stainless if not careful

Hi there, we havent put this saw to the test yet on stainless material. I will do a follow up in 6 months once the saw has seen some more use ! From my understanding blade speed adjustment is only offered on the 250 DAXL when 3 phase is selected. Any machine below this in size does not have blade speed adjustment. So far, the saw is really impressive! great accuracy and really speeds up the process !

@@bigcheesiecrawford2314 My mistake, you are correct regarding other machines. 3 speeds only available on this machine with the 3 phase! I’ll let you know if this becomes an issue…
