So a couple of things first off that dry erase marker you have to do a couple light passes with it and not sit there and rub it or else it starts eating the paint away. Instead of laying the casting down on something use a paper towel roll to hold the car on. Nice job on the detailing though everything came out pretty clean looking. You will get better the more you do it trust me. 👍🏻
wow jake, thanks for the tip! do you wipe it off immediately after doing a few light passes or do you let it sit a few seconds? and yes i have seen the paper towel roll trick before, i need to use that.
Nice simple improvements made & sorry you had to strip & repaint the black. One or two things I would've maybe done if you don't mind me suggesting? I wouldn't have left that base & interior the bright red colours - definitely go for a more calmed down maroon to give a period leather upholstery shade and the front parts of the red base, I wouldn't hesitate in giving those a bit of silver or chrome. The premium 50th anniversary blue 510 wagon has lots of detail to give you ideas. You'll transform a cheap mainline model into something that resembles a Carculture at a fraction of the price. Nice choice of wheels by the way, suited it much more than deep dished 4spokes on the STH this year.
