I always loved the interior of the f10 it was the one of the key factors that made me fall in love with the car, but this suits it aswell, it’s a perfect car
Does it look like there are spaces in between the screen and the dashboard? I like this screen a lot better too. Do you think it will also work for a 2013 BMW 528i M Sport?
I want to upgrade to the same screen, where did you get this at I didn’t see the link in your description… so I saw how easy it was to install but a few questions I had: 1. When you put everything back together do the wires stick out in the back!? 2. And you were able to connect your Apple iPhone to the system wireless correct!?
I think oem looks a lot better aesthetically when it's integrated and not looks like an afterthought and just slapped on afterwards.. But that's just my opinion
Great video! I was going through the ordering process and there were a bunch of options that increased the price from $459 to over $800. Can you let me know if you purchased any of these options, and whether you think they are necessary? Also, the 10.25” pop-out looks/fits way better than the 12.3” that some other manufacturers offer. Great video! Can you set the aftermarket display so when you go to it, it automatically opens CarPlay? I am wondering because I would want to have it turn on to I drive then be able to just go to CarPlay and not have to go through the aftermarket display.

Quick question, I’m probably gonna do this to my 650i, I understand that the navigation won’t carry over to the HUD, but the HUD still works right? Also, do you notice a difference in call quality? Thank you! Yes the hud still works like normal. I would not be able to do this if I lost my hud 😫😂 but as far as the call quality it’s about the same as before

Whats going on bro, you can go into the Android factory settings &’ you have to enter a passcode. Not sure if it would be the same but the one they gave me was 070305. There you can go into display settings &’ change the resolution
I have a chinese screen but the fitting looked exactly same. I have the single Din unit but had a big problem fitting in all the wire. Also did you have to use the Aux cable, and can you have the bluetooth connected to both the iDrive and and the bluetooth of the new screen.
I was driving a 2020 BMW X2 for a couple of days because my car was getting fixed up at the bmw dealership so they gave me that car as a loaner and it has the exact same screen. Might switch up the screen to this on my 535i!
Exactly the same product in Germany, the same box, same instruction with the name "TAFFI" instead of "iNAV" . I ordered the 10.2" because I like how integrated the display in 5series is and didn't want to change it.
Ok, I'm a little confused. Can you provide a link to the actual parts necessary for this upgrade? Is this all included in the "Android Screen Upgrade" or do you need to purchase the "Apple Carplay/Android Auto Interface" as well? Looks like a cool system.
If you go on the website you can see that there's an option for built in wireless CarPlay. You would have to pay to get this feature. But everything else is included for the most part.

When you use the new navigation apps like zlink and waze, does any of the navigation information show up in your heads-up display? For example, in the normal BMW navigation, an upcoming turn shows up in the heads-up display. Or when you use the zlink or waze navigation apps, you don't get any navigation information in the heads-up display anymore?
Hey Anthony. I just purchased a 12.3 inch screen from 4x4 Shop. I was wondering if you can provide an update on if it is still working for you? Since some people complain that they got a defective unit, etc.
Does it have the regular CarPlay colors instead of the one in the video? Plus it can’t run off strictly Bluetooth? Or does it have to run off a hotspot feature off your phone

Did you plug in ur Audio plug into ur unit to the auxiliary plug in ur center armrest console to get sound ? I don’t have sound on my unit. LMK, thanks
What screen size did u get and how do I find out if I have CIC or NBT Idrive system? Mines a 2013 so looks like it could be either but how do I check? Thanks for the video, this will be a great upgrade as I've always felt the stock display is a bit outdated. This should definitely fix that :)
Since you have to use aux front to use the android side audio and it sounds worse than regular bluetooth, what I do is that I connect the phone to carplay with bluetooth and wifi and then also keep the bluetooth connected to my car. I then make sure the audio in the car is set to bluetooth instead of aux and go on my phone and change the audio output to bluetooth instead of carplay. Music sounds better that way and carplay works the same. Loses the hey siri functionality but you dont have to use the garbage mic that the carplay screen comes with and it will use the original bluetooth audio and mic system from the car. Dope! I actually just realized this last night &' I was messing with the settings &' got it to sound decent but the original bluetooth does sound a lot better still! Do you have to switch the output from CarPlay to bluetooth on the phone everytime ?
Inline Motorsports Yeah you have to switch the output every time but it takes a quick second and the music quality and built in car mic is def worth it. You just go to the control center in iphone and in the music widget you change the output just like you can switch between speakers and airpods. It’s worth taking the extra second aux input is not good enough.
Quick Question. So you didn't install the gps antenna that came with the unit, but the stock navigation still works correct? I'm looking to upgrade my screen as well, but will probably go in dash. Also, is the stock startup splash screen still showing on the headunit?
these units have a sim card insert so they can have internet. This kind of makes carplay useless as you can start your apps straight from the screen and not use the phone to drain battery.
I installed a similar item (not screen, just CarPlay) into my F10 and noticed that since installing, my battery drain message comes up EVERY time I power on the vehicle. Do you have a similar experience?
