The first time I went with a cheap pair of speakers (12 bucks a pair) and got what I paid for as they lasted about 6 months before they slowly started failing. When I got down to one left working, I bit the bullet and bought some middle range Pioneer speakers and they are still going strong 2 years later. Lesson learned about buy once, cry once 😀. I also feel that it's a diesel truck not a luxury automobile so decent sound is sufficient.
I like the idea of the under the seat subs I'm gonna get those and put em under the rear bench seat, I have same vintage as your truck but I have the Bose system in mine. My speakers are great but the deck has gone bad 😔. Thanks for sharing 👍
That new shirt looks good on ya & I’ve been wearing mine proudly thanks to you. Dad really likes his shirt & it reminds him of his old Buddy who passed away & always teased us about the Motorized Wheelbarrow. I’ve been getting a few looks & complaints. Been telling people about your channel & where to buy them. You know It’s time to upgrade your stereo when the kids are tired of Dad singing. 😂
Hey I'm a professional audio installer and your positive / negative wires are backwards! White/lt green is positive! Most older fords the "clip" side is positive
@@ProjectTimeGarage Amen to that, yeah I have a 10 inch sub id like a new head unit just like my steering wheel controls but daddy needs bluetooth haha
I'm getting ready to upgrade my Excursion to a bluetooth Amp. Just connect the phone to the amp and play music through it. Upgrade speakers also. Can't wait. No point in head units anymore. you connect your phone to it. Most people anyways. Might as well eliminate a cost.
Thanks for the content 😊. I have 2003 7.3 crew cab I saw what looked like instrument cluster under AC controls what is that also to the left looked like switches. Can you please tell me what it all does. Thanks
The switches on the left control all the exterior lighting on the truck. Here is the link to that panel: amzn.to/43xjlxh also, I have a video installing it, here's a link to that - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LfJuLGRILog.html The gauges below are from an application called TorquePro. I also have a video on that, here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fm05PqT18IE.html
That's my android tablet with a software suite called TorquePro. Actually, i have a full video on setting all that up from scratch> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fm05PqT18IE.html
Hey love the videos. What has been the best phone mount/mounting system and area that you have found so far? I like to have a wireless charger so I dont have to plug in, that I mounted on an open part of the mid dash area but it shakes too much. Thanks
I had the stock radio for a long time - Still have the stock radio in my 2003 F350. There is a product called iTransit that you can connect to your factory radio that gives you bluetooth, handsfree calling and all the modern gizmos. I have a video installing it on this truck - Here's the Amazon link for it: amzn.to/3IjI0xg
