Upgrading twin plate clutch in Fordson major tractor puller. Machining floater and drive plates. 

In this video I upgrade the old organic clutch plates to 6 paddle ceramic plates in this 6 cylinder Fordson Major tractor puller.
First the tractor is split, engine from gearbox. The old clutch is removed and the intermediate plate is found to not be flat. The intermediate plate is mounted in the lathe and both sides are skimmed. The drive plates then have the centre hub machined down in size to allow both to be fitted onto the input shaft with room for the intermediate plate. The twin plate clutch in then refitted and the tractor reassembled. Final job is to fit the bellhousing shield that was made in the previous video. Quick drive around to ensure the clutch works properly and that's job done.
