'UPLIFTER' Apollo Justice ~ A New Era Begins! (2nd Remix) - Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

in celebration of the recently apollo trilogy announcement, prepare for liftoff with my second take on apollo justice's theme!
hey everyone! are we looking forward to the apollo trilogy? personally i'm pretty stoked, like i wouldn't claim that they're the best aa games (that award goes to tgaa :3) BUT they were very enjoyable and i'm glad that even some new players will get the opportunity to experience the three games for themselves. and even though there are heaps of ace attorney themes i haven't tackled, i couldn't pass up on revisiting apollo's theme for the occasion! my first take on the theme was one of this channel's first breakout hits (thank you ace attorney sub reddit hehe) so it was really exciting to try another version. i actually had a few different ideas for this arrangement but the one the eventually stuck was this j-rock/anime inspired take you see before you today. the main idea was to incorporate the """apollo 11""" recordings as a tie in to the plot of dual destinies of course. it was also really fun to adapt the track to a more traditional song structure, including borrowing ideas not just from apollo's regular objection theme but also his perceive theme and dual destinies' "i'm fine" theme as well. i'm really proud of what i came up with so i hope you all enjoy it to the fullest as well!

Comment question: Which of the three "Apollo Justice Trilogy" games is your favourite? I honestly find it hard to choose because they all have their own unique charm, but I did really find the darker tone of AJ:AA quite intriguing especially as a continuation to the original trilogy!

Might have to be the same for me 👀 Went through the Ace Attorney titles blind on my phone in early Uni (playing the app store version of the games on my phone of all things while taking the train to/from school, haha) I was really surprised getting to AJ:AA, I was like "wait what happened to my boi phoenix?", and I have to say the game definitely subverted my expectations and I really quite enjoyed it! Then didn't get the chance to play the next two because I wanted something I could play on the train and had too much social anxiety to pull out my 3DS lul, so instead I watched no commentary playthroughs on the train, and rather enjoyed the stories! Would probably have to go Apollo Justice > Dual Destinies > Spirit of Justice personally I just gotta check out the Great Ace Attorney chronicles one of these days! Checked out everything else, like the investigations titles, due in part to your remixes, haha

I think they each have their strong points. Apollo is one of my favorite characters, and seeing him develop as a lawyer through his series always warms my heart. I can't say that AJ had the strongest cases though... DD has a really riveting last case (trying to avoid spoilers!) and I'm a sucker for Athena and Simon's characters too. SOJ also had an amazing set of cases, and seeing new world building for the Ace Attorney world makes it amazing. I don't think I could ever pick one! (Thanks for reading this far this is so long haha)

Frankly I group the games in a different way than seeing "AJ/DD/SOJ" as a cohesive trilogy. AJ fits weirdly well with the Investigations spin-offs, since the pixel style is similar and there's heavy focus on the abuses of power from prosecutors & defence attorneys alike. And instead, I see the Professor Layton crossover game as an unofficial fit with DD and SOJ; they're all in the 3DS style, and they're all generally wackier in their mysteries & gimmicks than previous AA games.

@@CelestiaLily i also don’t really see them as a trilogy, especially since they weren’t written with a continuous throughline in mind. i do think it is good to group them for marketing purposes and that’s probably the case as to why it’s being released as such

It's close, but in my eyes AJ wins with tone and vibe alone (and music of course), but Dual Destinies is still pretty great. I never finished SOJ, so I'm definitely excited for the trilogy!

Man Apollo's theme is such a banger in trials, now that you made his cheerful theme it sounds magical. This feels like it was made by a god itself, you really surpase yourself every year, congrats.

This is incredible! It's like what Courtroom Revelutionaire would've been if Apollo was the main focus of Dual Destinies instead of Athena. The use of the AJ Cross-Examination theme as a primary heroic phrase is god-like. This embodies to me the theme of if Apollo's character was written competently the first time.

A simply fantastic take on this character who despite getting his own trilogy I still feel undervalued. The mix of science-esq, magical-like, and nostalgic allusions to times past lead to what feels like a perfect representation of Apollo's history and the way his story unfolds. Holy heck, dude! I remember your take on this theme all those years ago. I did not realize you changed channels. This composition is amazing. It feels triumphant in a very fresh way. A bit jarring at first, since Apollo had the underdog position for so long, but the more it goes, the more it encapsulates what Spirit of Justice was going for. This shows mature, experienced, badass Apollo and I love the song for it. Thanks for the remix as always!

I love how you brought in parts of his perceive like your original remix, and also added parts of the "I'm Fine" while also making it in such a different style than the first. Apollo's theme is such a banger. Really great job. I feel like i could listen to this over and over. I already have while figuring out what I want to comment. I'm so glad I found your channel, probably like 7 years ago at this point. Can't even begin to count how many times I've listened to your remixes and compositions

I'm so hyped to play Apollo Justice in beautiful HD in particular, I think it's super underrated! This remix hypes me up for it so much, I love the song and the inclusion of the cross-examination theme in there too, and all the archived recordings in here, what a great fit! Apollo best boy!

Ok so the long and short of this is that I’ve listened to this like 10 times already. This is such a fantastic remix, using so many of Apollos (my beloved little bunny devil man) themes and cues to make one big love letter to the character. Now that’s really impressive. It doesn’t hurt that Apollo has the best cross examination AND objection now does it? 😂

Just wanted to say how incredible your tunes are. You reached a status where I get a notification and click on it even if I'm not familiar with the game or I've never played the game despite knowing it. I just know my time is well invested by hearing your tunes. Your style has truly become a trademark of your work for me that makes it just so distinctive from other great composers on RU-vid and it's always an event to listen to it for the first time as well as identify several instruments with every time listening to them again.

Awesome remix, man! I always love to see a new Ace Attorney track remade from you, your music is damn good. (My favorite is Salary Cuts haha) I'm really excited for the second trilogy port, watching an old Apollo Justice longplay is how I properly got into the series.
