Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. My baby loves being in the bassinet, The ru-vid.comUgkx4qZutfp1y5CaTUcMTuFPbARE5u-8XLiE stroller comfortable. I like the rain cover and the white net that comes with it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.
Thank you for this! I bought a vista second hand and was having trouble folding it- your description of the movement in is what finally got it to work for me and stood out from all the other videos. I really appreciate it!
best review for this stroller on youtube. This sealed the deal for us while trying to decide what stroller to get and I keep coming back every time I need a refresher. Hope your getting royalties.
I just want to say thank you I know it’s eight years ago. My daughter has a stroller it absolutely defeated me until I watched your video. Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you! Lol I have a uppababy vista and I couldn't figure out how to get the bassinet off the buggy! All the reviews showed a button on the top handle and mine didn't have that so then I had to track down what the difference was. That led me here. Phew.
I have to say you are awesome! Your reviews are the best & so fun! As far as the UppaBaby, I too couldnt decide between that and the bugaboo, I ended up getting the Uppa and then because I am a nut I got a Bugaboo Cameleon on sale too. I must say theres good things about both, but I keep finding myself appreciating the many cool features that the Uppa has versus the Bugaboo. As far as the coolness factor, I got it with the black frame and black seat, so the all black is very cool to me ;0)
This is 2018 and I got a 2nd hand unit off a friend, without your video I probably never figure it out. Mine was still stuck, so I put some W40 once I had it folded up at the join between the folding corner. Now I can fold my 6 years old unit with one shot. Again without your correctly instruction I think I would broke it before I might ever figure it out.
A few downsides on the Vista from a current owner: 1.) The storage space is difficult to access with the bassinet in place. 2.) The front suspension is so stiff, a nearly 200 pound man cannot compress it (so how would it ever work on a newborn to 50 pound child?). 3.) The breathing holes in the bottom of the bassinet are a gimmick since only hurricane-force winds would be able to blow through all the fabric layers over them. 4.) There isn't really a great place to hold onto the stroller when you are carrying it from house to car. 5.) It's not quite as easy to fold as some others on the market. 6.) The foam handle sits and rubs on the ground when you fold it (soggy yuck on wet days) and it feels like an inexpensive material compared to the rest of the stroller. Otherwise, it's a good and sold unit with nice features however some people note the front wheels shake back and forth like a shopping cart.
Broke within 6 months, apparently it cant be used on pebble/gravel surfaces, although there is no warning in anything from Uppababy. Customer service team didnt offer to repair or apologise, just told us we would need to buy a new one, for full price. Avoid.
Great stroller ! i received this as a "free-bee" second hand from a friend for my Grandson. I wasn't sure how to do a few things on this older model .. Plus had to really search for the replacement belly bar as they are becoming rare due to decomposition and wear and tear on the older models. As you mention the 'bites" and drag marks probably have destroyed many alont the way so this was a tough sleuth to find. ( the newer model bars dont fit these older frames , so it made it far more challenging and some After market parts for these Prams for a community based refurbished infants needs servicing items/community provisions center would be smart for the children of underserved families needing nice and safe buggies as well. All famlies should have access to something basic and as functionally nice like this ~~For me, personally, i just love to refurbish old quality items and to the fact the entire thing was "FREE" i have funds to buy a few luxuries for it and now my daughter who has the newer model actaully likes. MINE, due to the easy NO FINGER PINCHING conversion you have shown us here and the goodies added on ! So...thanks Jamie !. Your 10 year old review really helped.a Gram out! ~ Now off to Nordstrom to pick out a new blue cushy liner !
I was glad to see your comment on this review - I am also a grandmother with an older 2nd hand model vista. I have the issue with the bumper belly bar and have been looking for a replacement as mine came without the bar (was ruined from chewing no doubt). Hoping to find one soon. Was curious to what other “luxury” accessories you found for your older model, that I may wish to add to mine. Any tips would be appreciated. I will say this video showed me better way to fold/close, and how to lean the toddler seat back and sit up. Any gram advice you can pass on to another with the old model would be terrific - thanks!
I keep wanting to love this stroller because it is undeniably practical and is at the top of its class in terms of what it offers, but it just doesn't scream "cool". Does that sound a bit shallow?! Lol. I do wish other stroller companies would incorporate the *FAB* canopy made by UPPA as we will definitely need a stroller with a fantastic canopy and excellent ventilation (we're in the Caribbean), and the UPPA would therefore be ideal, but I just don't *love* it. Thanks for the great review!
This is the one I bought (same colour), I remember looking at lots of different prams etc. and the Vista to me, was one of the smoothest movers, just as good as the extra pricey prams on the market! it was easy to use, full of features that are just right for the baby and parent :) you have to love that sun protection hood that pops out! and the magnet vent! brilliant ideas
I know this is a year old comment but the only seat for the older models for double is a rumble seat that only parent faces and doesn’t recline at all 😔 and the toddler seat must also face parent face too when in double mode. The newer models have adapter parts to face out or parent face.
Did you happen to find out how to make it a double? I have this older version one from second hand and am having trouble trying to find the attachment to make a double.
I love this stroller! My son is 9 months old and it has suited us both, hubby too, perfectly! I do have a couple questions though. What is the point of the front wheels being able to lock? What advantage does that give? Also I've taken the stroller on dirt trails and its a little bumpy but I'm wondering if this stroller is meant for that kind of terrain?
Thank you for the best folding instructions EVER! I almost broke my wrist trying to jerk it and push it by following the other videos. It´s so easy once I saw your video!!
I was sold on getting the bugaboo cam3 (even though I own the frog) after seeing this I went and purchased the vista and saved myself a few hundred bucks.. thanks.. I couldn't make up my mind for months.. This review was so down to earth, no bull shit and funny.. loved it...
What a great review. Thank you. I am a first time dad-to-be in north east Scotland and have taken on the task of finding a pram (pushchair, stroller or whatever you like to call it). I really like the UPPAbaby Vista and it's reviews like this that have been such a big help to me. Off to show it to my wife!!
