I like no. 3. The chromatic descent of the highest note adds just the right amount of consonance to give the phrase a more definitive sense of closure.

Love these ideas!! I think 3's my fav: I love that upper-voice fall / lower-voice rise with that sorta F-sharpy chord leading the charge for the resolution. The previous Bb to the F#/Gb is so satisfying

My favourites: 2, 7, 10. A lot of these are just drop voicings of distantly related seven chords imposed over the same root movement.

We need a “Simple Practical Harmony” series, I understand upper structures but this lesson is too fast for my level :)

This is the lesson summed up: 1. Bass motion has to remain the same as the original progression 2. You can put whatever you want in the upper structure as long as you follow rule No.1 but the weirder/spicier it is, the better 3. You have to resolve the leading tone of each substitution a semitone up or down
