I am an engineer, but I think its unfair for non-engineering students if they are asking CAT level questions. I have seen a lot of students who were intelligent but couldn't take engineering due to their economical background....So indirectly its discriminatory against poor students.....

I Fully stand with these aspirants ..Even I appeared in 2023 prelims Paper 1 was good but in CSAT I couldn't able to solve majority of question of mathematics.. This is unjustified and against the principle of proportionality....
I think you should have tried the comprehension part from CSAT. If you have done justice with your civil services preparation, you will feel comfortable with the questions.
I totally agree that in some paragraph English was not that easy but if you go through the whole paper you can easily clear the cutoff mark...I think so and most of the aspirants I met they have the same review
@@vimleshjoelyes comprehension was easy but one is not sure about the answer ,out of 27 questions,4-5 questions can be wrong ,so one can't skip mathematics portion.we need to solve atleast 40 questions to qualify csat.this year it was difficult to find questions after solving all the comprehensions.
Dear the problem is not Hindi or English, the main problem is the increasing number of IIT aspirants. And those who are from English medium are smart enough if UPSC changes everything then situation may not change, the root cause is our different education system.
Dude I m a CAT aspirant. So I just solved CSAT paper maths out of curiosity. I thought It was medium level but then I realized , this exam is not for aptitude and majority of students have no maths background. For someone who isn't from maths or prepared exclusively for highly aptitude based test like CAT , GMAT. This CSAT was not at all doable for a Normal kid
IAS/ IPS is anyway not for so called "normal kid" , only academically bright aspirants or people with high IQ are able to crack it anyway . People who can't score even 33 percent in aptitude based test after years of practice ,should not aspire for CSE.

First of all people should stop with these appeasement and all that..Yeah the Quant portion is little bit tough on those who don't have a proper Maths background but considering that they only need 33% i.e. around 25-26 Questions to clear the CSAT, i don't see the problem...Also, not everything is too tough as there're some easier questions as well. And you're attempting a Grade A gazetted exam thus, what were you expecting? Typical arithmetic calculations?? I'd say it's just a way to hide their inabilities in the guise of the questions are out of syllabus...Above all reasoning portion was quite easy and not considering the free passages of English, people can easily clear it out...And if someone says otherwise then, I have some doubt regarding their degree of preparedness towards the exams They're preparing to.
I am not aspirant.. but my roommate is upsc aspirant. He came after exam and started crying like it was not his fault . He studied how it should be... He is an engineer than also CSAT was like that to him
UPSC is nothing but a life ruining journey for 99%. Needs year round preparation But only 0.1% get success And failures don't get alternatives like lesser posts atleast for top 20% or something
UPSC should become transparent by Giving scan copy of OMR at the time of Exam & give Answer key after prelims only. ✋ UPSC Reform is must. UPSC should not ask Question Out of syllabus. UPSC has crossed all limit. Students fraternity are in anguish. Government should intervene. Hindi medium students selection has gone down from 50% to 6% shame shame.
I attempted UPSC 4 times in Hindi medium. I could not succeed. Many don't succeed. But they don't blame UPSC for their failures. CSAT paper 2 was never an issue. Non in my group prepared for this paper.

@@Sss-g2zProbability in itself uses the Permutation and Combination functions and it literally gives the leeway to use it...But yeah those are some good level questions but still they're part of it and you're attempting a Gazetted level exam so obviously, it was meant to happen at some point. Also, if you cannot do the Permutation& Combination doesn't entail that you'll fail cuz that's around 5-6 questions max and you only have to score 26 out of remaining let's say 70....It's not tough considering the free points from those English passages and Reasoning section was quite easy....Some quant questions are also doable...So in my opinion, it's just a way to hide their inadequacy and Lallantop is quite good at considering these useless topics and slowly their credibility is also degrading.

Indian education system needs to give importance to humanities education as well. Rest Giving out of syll questions is the responsibility of UPSE commission. Commission should give its clearification.

I qualified for 5 prelims including Indian forest service cut off. This time also expected to be qualified. But both papers were very vague in nature. CSAT was blunder by UPSC. And seeing answer key of 2022 where so many wrong answer given by UPSC, I can understand why serious candidates like me are not in. Those who are not able to clear in 4-5 attempts are in this time . This is because UPSC make exam as game of chance rather than game of skill and knowledge. But as we are small upsc community, our grievances are not heard. In last 2 years , quality of UPSC is not upto mark.

What UPSC is trying to do with GS paper is levelling the field for the newcomers. Look at you, you have an experience of handling preliminary exams for 4-5 years. How can a person who is just getting into preparation compete with you? UPSC always looks for young people and that's why this vagueness appeared. No doubt the Paper-2 was out of the box, but the increasing level of GS is what was needed.

@@mayank3526 really? It's vague paper .... GS1 was not tough but vague and those who have long preparation are getting above 100 . Even for me 62 que was easy and confident to qualify.... What matter is wrong answer Key by UPSC as 2022 answer key is showing many wrong answer.... I heard many people who are getting less than 66marks in GS1 by various answers key are in exam while csat need 66 marks ....I know many who are working in class 1 position and not preparing for this exam as not having time in work load, gave exam by random bubbling and it's miracle due to vagueness.... They are qualified... That's pity of country.... Serious candidates are left excluded while randomised people would qualify....

मैं upsc का अभ्यर्थी तो नहीं लेकिन वाकई में इस बार csat में maths के questions का कठनाई का स्तर बहुत ज्यादा था। यदि किसी स्टूडेंट का subject ही mathsmatics न रहा हो तो वह इस प्रकार के सवाल कैसे हल करेंगे।
It hurts bro. Your situation is worse than me but my situation is similar. I score 80 in gs last year and 111 year before that. Both time I had more than 110 in csat. This year I am scoring 104 in gs but 61 in csat :(

I had a score of 95+ in my previous two CSAT attempts but couldn't score 66 this year. I have scored 98-99 in gs 1 which is more than cutoff of 75-76. I prepared what UPSC asked for but had no idea UPSC would breach their own syllabus
As a humanities students. We are facing huge problem in csat paper😢 Upsc is giving preference to IIT students by giving hard questions on csat (math) pper As a humanities it's difficult to face those questions
As a science students we are facing more difficulty as mains paper has become more tough and analytical than previous papers. Also they are asking so much facts in prelims.. I think upsc should stop taking prelims and mains and rather select by measuring cheast.

they released 2022 prelims answer key and aspirants like me were in shock when we saw upsc accepting some wrong options as correct. this gross injustice was never expected from upsc. i missed the exam by 3 marks. and beacuse of upsc's wrong answers i was at loss of 8 marks.

बहुत ही सही बात है इन अभ्यर्थियों का 1) यदि आप CSAT को खत्म नही करना चाहते तो आप 23 ℅ ही कर दीजिये Mains मे ज्यादा लोग बैठाईये वो वहाँ Fail हो तो अपनी जिमेदारी लेंगे 2) भारतीय भाषा मे कमी ये दर्शाती है की यहाँ UPSC नही, अंग्रेजी का proffesor बनाना चाहती है? 3) 64% इंजनियर का Selection ये दर्शाता है की वहाँ Huminities वाले बच्चो को नही लेना चाहती है तो ये press relese कर के बता दे फिर बच्चे IIT की तयारी करेंगे और फिर UPSC करेंगे

I somehow managed to qualify but still I support this movement. Last year I failed prelims just by 0.18 marks in CSAT and UPSC dropped one question in the same paper which means I could qualify CSAT but no remedy now.
My brother studied from NIT still he just qualified but he was saying the same thing I m doing MBBS so I don't understand the level of exam but what I heard was exactly same. Full support❤❤

UPSC need to select top appx 1000 students across India. If they make such vague and out of syllabus ques then it wastes the attempt and productive year of a student. It's killing the spirit of hard working UPSC aspirants. We (UPSC aspirants) work hard for years then we reach this level. Please don't let Hitler (dictator UPSC) kill our years long hard-work. We are living in free India not in British India. Still getting justice is so difficult and out of reach. UPSC and CAT (tribunal) are giving vague/ridiculous (same as this year PRELIMS paper) arguments instead of giving justice to UPSC aspirants. Please make our voices reachable to ruling govt. Please help us to get justice. Mains is scheduled in Sept-2023. It's URGENT. It needs to be get resolved by this month (Aug-2023) only. Please Help to future of India.
Dude I m a CAT aspirant. So I just solved CSAT paper maths out of curiosity. I thought It was medium level but then I realized , this exam is not for aptitude and majority of students have no maths background. For someone who isn't from maths or prepared exclusively for highly aptitude based test like CAT , GMAT. This CSAT was not at all doable for a Normal kid
@@karansharma2738 Comeon it wasn't that hard , i am not even preparing for CAT but atleat 70% questions form aptitude and maths alone were doable. A 21+ is an adult and i guess he/she is supposed to have that much aptitude. EVEN you would agree that CAT doesn't ask IIT level questions. Its just basic questions that require a good aptitude and brain power.
