I have given my first attempt today and UPSC has removed the method of elimination... From my today's experience i must say to you that you should have to prepare very well coz the level is increasing day by day....
Guys shall we make a group for answers writing....although we dont know whether we will clear prelims or not but one day will clear it definitely....so why shouldn't we try for answer writing in advance
Along with new pattern, questions ratio was unpredictable. Mostly questions was from history and polity. Very few from economics and geography. It seems like cutoff will be very less this year.
Before 2022: you should know something about everything After 2023: you should know everything about everything 😢 this new pattern indirectly fed to the vastness of the syllabus.

Overall paper was though and unpredictable. Unpredictable in the sense current affairs ka weightage has gone up unexpectedly. Students who had strong hold on static also felt that bas ab only static se nahi hoga. Current affairs ke bhi jo questions puche vaha bhi high conceptual understanding jaruri thi. Nevermind we all are upsc aspirants, will surely analyse what went wrong and how can we improve ourselves and also adapt with changing exam Trend. Ps- Yeah this was my first attempt. I have realised some of the areas of improvement in me. Have to give the respect that this world's toughest exam deserve.

This year upsc screening will not be knowledge based but luck based. No standard resource have worked this time Elimination has been eliminated. So now advise to the future aspirants MARO TUKKA. If your gamble is Successful then you will be screened.
I think this scenario also started in neet also from last two years.....upsc will become more lengthy....it peels to students.....and for students no option study to karna hoga hi ...!

This UPSC paper gives same vibes of 2016 Jee Advanced paper which i cleared but this is something different..If ur concept is clear than u will succeed otherwise ap que hila bhi ni skte 😂
Common sense has been eliminated and replaced with luck....no one can prepare for this kind of stupidity....the new pattern can work only for a limited syllabus n not for infinite syllabus....

Want to know where I ended up being ??? I was in Final 362 of IFOS who were called for PT . Cleared both CSE and IFOS CUT OFF, scored 99.66 in GS and 80 in CSAT. CLEARED IFOS MAINS ALSO. Paper easy to moderate but pattern change hone se moderate se hard ho gaya hai ...mene pahle to paper dhyan se dekha or 25 question kiye jin per me sure tha mtlb only 50marks fir (2 options pata the vo question kiye 12 questions ) baaki sab 41 question tuka lagana pada because koi option hi nahi tha ...abhi cheak kiya hai mene 49 sahi hai but 31 questions glat ho gaye hai ab dekhte hai kya hota hai ....best of luck all my dear ias ASPIRANT...yak advice dunga ki saare subject ke concept ache se clear kare because saare option pata hona chahiye...or ab sirf m.laxmikant or spectrum or nitin shighaniya padkar prelims nahi nikelga isliye koi bhi topic ho uske ache se prepare kare ...thank you🙏✍
