Sir same as you first i have take decision to take geography as optional then at time of reading ncert i do not understand anything in geography but when i learn polity i love it and i choose to take sociology as optional THANK YOU SIR LOT OF RESPECT TO YOU👍✋🙌

Sometimes mere interest isn't enough. One has to look at PYQ and most importantly the kind of questions UPSC is asking in exam. Since it's the optional subject and UPSC is supposed to ask questions of Masters level in that Subject. Most importantly, the type of questions too matter, as many times we think questions come in a certain manner, while in reality it comes in something totally different.
