5 Questions in UPSC Civil Services Prelims (Paper I) 2024 appear doubtful with 1 having a translation error.

There is also one more question which is controversial - Nari shakti vandan adhiniyam or women reservation bill (Art334A) mentions that the period of 15 years is after the delimitation exercise done as per first census after the commencement of the act. Not 15 years immediately after the commencement of the act. So statement 1&2 both are wrong.

Yes you are right. They should have mentioned "commencement " as it is an Act already. Since there is no option with both 1 and 2 as incorrect I think from a generalist perspective this statement looks correct and I feel UPSC would consider it correct.

(1) To say that no water from river flows into Red sea will be factually wrong. Check rivers of Eritrea on both Britannica as well as Wikipedia and you'll find many small rivers and streams flow into Red sea. Example- River Barka (2) For Delimitation Commission, it is clearly mentioned in the India Year Book that it has been formed 5 times. Thoda khud ka bhi common sense lagao yaar, 2020 ka Del. Commission Kahan gaya ?

Difference in translation and complete opposite meaning after translation are different things, in 2021 they cancelled question because of translation error

If upsc is doing such interpretation that too after result is very serious concern. Efforts for exam is too much and get out for their interpretation is not welfarist

But coriolis force toh earth rotation k wajah se hota hai ....and coriolis force don't have any effect on wind speed but it has impact on wind direction....so ye kaise ho sakta hai that it increases with increase in wind velocity

14 th answer will be only 1 because wind velocity is maximum in between 40 to 60 degree latitudes,ex- roaring 40, therefore corriolis force will be maximum here. 😊😊

No it doesnt take generalist trend. It takes where there is scope not where it itself has written No. Last mercury Q in 2023 was made wrong where all answer keys marked otherwise.

Sir, what would be the cut off as per ur idea ? I am OBC and i get 91.33( lowest possible score in any case) in GS and 82.5 in csat... Will i clear the prelims?😢
