We were already holding water with a napkin and a card. Now let's try to hold water in an upside down bottle with cheesecloth. Why is this possible?
In this experiment we see both phenomena of the previous experiments at once.
The water does not pour out because of air pressure, the air pressure inside the bottle is lower and the air pressure outside it is higher. Also, the water filled all of the tiny holes in the cheesecloth and held the entire volume of water in the bottle due to surface tension.
