Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago in the summer of 1983, featuring a few gang tags such as from the Uptown Rebels. The camera is cruising along Lawrence Avenue, Sunnyside, Malden and other side streets in the area.
It’s too perfect for this video, the right vibe. I keep looking. Says Funkman by Schugzy when I do the Shazam thing, but can’t find anywhere. Thanks anyway. I love your content. So nostalgic 💔 ❤
I stayed in Uptown from the late 90s-early 2000s till my family moved to the south side. It was really chill despite it having a gang presence, I miss those days ngl.
@@westlove1226 Yep and Eagles were up there. My friend Sleepy of the Gents killed a mess of Eagles for firebombing his house and killing his sis. I had friends in the Kings, Saints, Gents, Unknowns and Young Lords. I was in CORP for 3 years but it got too complex with many boyhood friends in so many opposing organizations so I got out. Played music with Santana, Sleepy's little brother, for years, loved him like my brother. May he RIP. Crazy days! its different now. Too many f'n guns. No one has balls to fight man to man any more.
