I actually agree with Talsong. Shangela's still playing the "Drag Race" game with RuPaul making coins off her, but Willam won the fame and adoration without kissing RuPaul's ass or remaining a pawn in her game.
Each season on RPDR I still hold my breath waiting for Shangela to make yet another return. I always found her to be very talented. I think that had she waited a few years and really matured, she would have slayed. Her relative naivete got the better of her. Still one of my all time favorites.
She's in the movie A Star is Born with Bradley and Lady Gaga,,She owns her on Drag Bar. She's freaking awesome. Love her. ❤ I'm straight but I love going to Drag Bars and watching RuPauls Drag Race and A J and the Queen. And watching videos of Shanghai ❤❤❤❤ Any thing that has to do with Drag Queens. The first time I ever watched drag race was season 4, without knowing any of the lingo or herstory....then on the first episode i remember shangela popping out of that box and I was like...." Why is this beautiful biological woman coming out of that box" haha,,, what I'm trying to say is that she is the definition of fish HALELLOOO!!
I love watching Shangela come up from being a drag princess. She is SO talented, I just can't take my eyes off of her. Not only that, she's always the nicest queen in the room, with a huge heart and a genuine smile. She's such a refreshing change from the catty shade queens. PURE LOVE!
It's impressive she made a parody that isn't raunchy and uses shock value to make it popular. This song and video prove Shangela is a class act. I am really impressed.

It's a matter of aesthetic. Obviously RuPaul's style is campy, on purpose. Obviously, if she wanted to do an all-out glamorous video in the mainstream style of all modern popstars, she could. Bish, she got resources to do it, no doubt. But it's just not her thing.

OMG! SHANGELA has really turned it out with this video. I have been playing it over and over. It is sooooo much fun. It's a good song that is just dying to be danced to. The song is good, the musical arrangement is great, the video editing is superb and can that ginger dude dance, or what?

Yeeeeeeesssssssss. I have been a fan of her since season 2 actually, she was on season 2 first before she was asked back to season 3 and made top 5. And she is so successful and getting better. This inspires me to keep trying and pushing towards my music. All them bias haters that was talking shit about her, see, haters get you places definitely. It's one thing not to be a fan of her but it's another to hate and be rude. And yes I said bias cause a lot of you gays are BIAS, especially towards the black queens or queens of color such as Puerto Ricans.
