I'm a canal paddleboarder and I've got a phobia of fish that I'm starting to get over, great video, very informative and I love the respect you give the fish, I'd never believe that they are so unharmed and actually better off in some sense like with the leeches after you clean them off and put them back.

The mcpike is a great bait. and if you can you should test a Pig shad. The pig shad is also a great bait. Love the pike fishing. BTW from sweden

When your soft bait gets heavily damaged, you can use a solder iron to mend it. Together with treble hooks attached to your bait with pins this will save a lot of baits and a lot of money.

Pike look like the sort of fish that would fight harder than they do

on all lures like the hooksetup i like these the most, easy to apply to the lure, and easy to release from the fish as well, only 1 thing i slightly dont like on these setups is that it rips it out the lures. and making a big hole in it. but good to see these pikes again. i know its the best time to fish pike but i will wait after the paring season.

Fishing for pike in town is something I can only dream of. So far, the biggest (and I hate to admit only) pike I've caught was 37" and 10lbs. It was an oddball, to be sure. Something had taken a big chunk out of its back, a few inches behind its head, but it had healed. Funny thing was the way it healed, it made it look like it had shoulders.🤣

Great fishing matey,well done catching tht many pike out the canal.My canal has had some sort of nuclear waste or some sort of nuclear explosion has happened there, the pondweed is fluorescent orange in colour,wen u walk down the toe path,the pond weed spits car bumpers at u,and then smiles,even the pike in my canal have got 3 eyes,also they av got green goatee beards, an car tyres in there mouths. Even the gudgeon have got big spiky teeth and they Ride honda 90s.we use the big pike as dead bait,to catch the big spiky tooth gudgeon,they grow well above 50lbs in weight...lol🧪🧫🤢🤮👁🦈💉🐙🛒🆘️🔅🔆

A little superglue can help the shallow screw stay in place and not pull out as easily

Went on the Leeds Liverpool last year and caught 2 pike. Both about 4lb on little rubber lures
