I really love the way you did the close-ups of each shade, it was REALLY helpful to see them up close. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts especially since our skin tones are similar. Love your videos, as always! Thanks for all your hard work :)
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for showing the colours up close as a photo on the screen. This is a maaassive plus for me! Most reviewers kinda wave the palettes around or try putting it super close to the camera and it's all blurry. I know that swatching colours is important but so is seeing a good clear photo of the colour so you can get an idea of any colouration differences between the colour in the palette and when its swatched. Please keep doing this!
like everyone else i wanna tell you how useful that close-up on the side is when you're explaining the shades! it's more editing work but it's so much better than holding the palette or a swatched finger really close to the camera and making it refocus, and going "can you see this?" ;) thanks jen!
My opinion is that Naked 2 is far better for Nights out or events and stuff like that Naked 3 far more day time suited but ypou can try to get night time from it especially from Factory all the way to BlackHeart And my sister (who works in/for Urban Decay) thinks that Naked (1) is for more olive skin tone If you can only get one, I would lean more to Naked 3 as you can use it more often :)
I totally agree, I have all the naked palettes (naked, 2, 3, and smoky😂) and 2 is the one that you buy if you want it for a night out. Smoky is great for that as well, but the naked 2 has neutral tones as well so if you wanted an everyday palette that also had some for going out, that's your winner.
The large closeups on the side were so helpful! I don't own any of the Naked palettes (yet), but if I were to buy one, it would probably be the Naked 2.
I love my Urban Decay Naked 3. When it sold out I thought about my subbies instantly and have a giveaway for them going on now to win 2 of them. I know how it is once the holidays come around not to be able to have money, or not get your hands on something and miss out. So I broke my pockets for them and I am glad I did.
Hey jen, I love that as you described each shade, you placed a neat super HD picture of each shade by the side! It's really helpful :) Thanks for another informative and awesome vid!
just wanted to say that I really love this video! you have a great voice and editing skill. another thing that I loved is that you get all the necessary information across without dragging on! really well made xxx
I like how there were closeups on the side to show what you were talking about, and the honest in depth review of how the shadows performed. Thanks for the well done review!
got the naked 3 a year and a half ago, finished it, and just bought a new one today. I have the original naked and naked smoky but naked 3 is by far my favorite !
I have none of the naked palettes , but once ill get my hands on these , i would definitely pick the naked 3 , those colors would look great with my neutral undertones and my red hair :)
Thank you for the review! I've been looking for some pink eyeshadows, and I'm glad to see this palette works well on yellow skin tone. I've always wanted a Naked palette, but I have so many neutral eyeshadows that I could never justify the purchase. This is going to be my first Urban Decay palette.
i love just how you talk...lol i'm not being weird i swear ! you just talk so calm and slow, it's soothing to listen to. some bloggers either talk really excited and fast or just kinda....monotone. lol
Love your reviews! This palette kinda reminds me of Lord of the Rings trilogy...verses the hang over 3...actually gets better with time verses decaying sadly before our eyes. Didnt think they could actually make a better palette with all neutrals for a THIRD TIME!! But I think they did...I love pinks!!
UHM.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIND THIS VIDEO. This is by far one of the best review and comparison videos on the original 3 Naked palettes! And girl I am obsessed with you already! Hope to see more from you, fellow Asian! 😘🌸
I agree that the quality of Dust could have been better. I liked the color and was hoping to use it as a highlight for my inner eye corners but i think it would work better as a top coat on the lids. Blackheart might be my favorite in the palette, it's so pigmented and pretty
jen...i absolutely love your vids!! im subscribed to a fair number of makeup gurus but you're the first to do a review on the naked palette 3. and ive been dyyying for someone to do one. thanks as always for a fantastic & thorough review. love you to bits!!
This is great that you consider the undertones. It really helps especially for someone who has yellow undertone like yours. Thanks Jen! Love it that you compare the 3!
Jen, how are you not crazy loving this palette?!! :) I just swatched Naked 3 - this palette is perfect for Asians and brown eyes!: ) I got Naked 1 and 2 for my blond girlfriends, but I am definitely getting Naked 3 for my Asian girlfriends and myself :) Thanks for letting us know about it!
i loved how you did close ups of each individual shade on the side. this and the deer halloween make up tutorial are my favorite videos of yours at the moment! xx
Here in Mexico City, Sephora had a stock of 500 Naked 3 palettes only. After December 31, the palette will be sold until April, so I made sure to get my hands on it before they were gone! This is my first Naked palette I ever own, and I'm loving it! Great review!
This was such a well done review! I loved it! I don't think I will be getting the Naked 3, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be as flattering on my skin tone, plus I'm not the biggest fan of the pinks but it looks great on you!
Wow! I'm not really in the beauty loop so the Naked 3 kind of came out of nowhere for me! Like you said, my skin has a warm yellow undertone so I find that the original Naked palette is great for creating foolproof looks, day or night. But, I personally feel that even with my warm toned skin, the Naked 3 would be a great addition as I often find myself layering pink shadows (either EL's Pure Color Eye Shadow in Honey Drop [47] or Bourjois Blush in Rose Frisson [54]) over the browny Naked palette shadows for everyday looks. Pink and brown is a great combination for everyday, I think, it's so soft and romantic!
I don't agree. I think the original naked looks better on cooler skin tones and those with blue or green eyed and naked2 looks better on warmer skin tones and those with brown eyes. Mostly becoz it provides contrast
MakeupbyAliciaE, you're definitely right for me. Creams and yellows blend a little too much into my warm skin tone, but pinks contrast and show up in a subtle way and look really pretty in all lighting.
I just started shopping around for these naked series and this was very to-the-point and helpful-thanks! love the lighting and the editing-great video!
I've never been a big fan of eyeshadows but from watching this video I'm going to have to request these naked palettes as my anniversary gift. Thanks Jen!
Wow! I LOVE the pinks! I think I may nab that or ask for it for Christmas. This was so incredibly helpful. I love how concise and descriptive you are! Thanks, Jen!
I didn't own any of the naked palette. I would definitely get this one,I love that it's on the pink hue and neutral....I'm excited for this! Thank you Jenn for this awesome review, your one of the best beauty guru💋💋💋
I have a very yellow undertone as well and I liked how you described that this palette may not look natural on us, but still very pretty and light. Thanks so much!
Thank you Jen for such a thorough yet to-the-point review :) I don't own any of the Naked palettes but have been debating on acquiring one for a while now since I look for makeup that's more everyday work appropriate. Looking forward to your next review! :)
I'd already seen the shades close up but I still really liked how you had them inserted in the video itself. Very cool! Thanks for the review... I have a warm undertone but have always loved taupes and pinks so this is a definite for me. Will wait til it hits Sephora so I can get some points.
This review was so helpful! I love how quickly you go over all the main points without dragging on so its short and snappy Can you please do some tutorials using this palette soon?
Hi Jen, can you please make a tutorial on how to achieve your eye makeup in this video using the Naked 3 palette? I love it & would like to see which colors you used & how you did it :)
Ever since the spring, I have been leaning towards pink-toned shadows. I think they look amazing on me since my skin has a neutral "undertone". I'm telling myself I don't need this... But even my mother said the palette looks gorgeous!
I really love your review! You talked about all of the concerns that I had when I first saw the pinky hues of Naked 3. I have the original Naked palette which I love, so I'm still going back and forth on whether or not I should get Naked 3. I didn't get Naked 2 because none of the colors intrigued me enough and there were a couple of doubles from other UD palettes that I have. I'm like you, I have yellow undertones and a light/medium complexion so this review was really helpful. I think I'll wait to see it in stores though because I would love to swatch it for myself. But I'm definitely going to keep your review in mind.
You should make a makeup tutorial using the palette. the pink tint of your eyeshadow looks amazing! i love your reviews. They're really descriptive and helpful. :)
I was WAITED for this review!! That was very helpful because I already have had the original palette of naked and I'm the one who is little obssessed about naked series. I think that is gorgeous and thank you for reviewing that new palette
Ahhhh ! I've been wanting this palette, but I've been deciphering whether it'll look good on my skin tone. I guess I'll have to see and have an expert at sephora help me decide. I love the Naked palette, and I've always wanted copper, or pink toned nudes. I just don't know if it'll look good on me. Once again, your reviews have helped, even if it's a little. Haha. By the way ! I miss your old intro "Hey guys ! This is Jen from head to to.". Every time you say "Hey guys" I start saying "This is Jen from head to toe". Haha.
I am looking to buy a Naked palette, and I love the colours from Naked 3. But after watching your video I think I've decided on Naked 2 as it kind of has all the colours for either an everyday look or if you're getting ready for a night out - to go darker, thank you!
AHH I CANT WAIT TO GET IT! I love this so much! The colors and rosey tones are my favorites. I was debating on if I should get a Naked palette, but none of the shaded stuck out to me, other than that they were super pigmented as with all UD shadows. But now, I KNOW I want to het this, plus all the shades are new.
Thanks for the comparison of the palettes. I'm planning on buying more, and got Naked 3 as a gift. I agree that if you own a palette from the range, it's a good addition to get another. I feel they're very versatile. I'm subscribing to your channel :)
I bought this back in July.. went in to buy the 1st or 2nd palette but last minute changed my mind and bought the 3! I totally wasn't going to purchase it because I thought I wasn't one for pink shades, but after buying it and trying it out, I have totally fallen for pink eyeshadows! I think everyone should at least try it out or see it in person before skipping over it just because of the pink base!
I wish I could get excited about it but just am not...a little too much pink for my liking. Love that u put a close up of the color as u were naming them! Just as u said the 2nd half of palette is more appealing to me than first half. Great review thank u.
I have the Naked 2 palette and it looks great on me! Im a brown skin girl and my skin is more of a neutral red - tone and the cool looks look just fine one me! And it's really good for everyday looks as that's why I purchased it😊
I must say that I own the Lorac Unzipped palette, and I feel like UD totally snatched up the idea of a rose gold 'naked' kind of combo. I would always go to Sephora, grab the UD naked palette, put it down etc.. I couldn't decide whether I really wanted it. Then I stumbled upon Lorac's Unzipped, and my word am I glad I did! It should be named 'Underrated' because no one really talks about it! :P Its shadows pigmentation is amazing, and the color selection is perfect. I think it's a bit less pricey too! So for anyone that isn't sold on this Naked 3, or any of the others, you might just fall in love with Lorac's Unzipped like I did! :)
Leesha's blog sold me on it. However, I want to wait for it to hit stores before making my final decision. It's so freaking pretty though just from all the pictures.
I don't own any Naked pallete but planning to get one. I think I will go with Naked 2 because it seems to match my skin tone more. Thank you for the video
I'd love, love, love it if you could do tutorials on using specifically the Naked palettes. I have them but I'm a bit intimidated on mixing and matching in case it looks bad. Tried, tested and trustworthy is definitely my cup of tea :)
Thank you so much for the review/comparison! I'm running out of my favorite pallette, and I've been thinking about giving the Naked ones a try, after hearing so many great things! This helped me decide which one I wanna start out with :)
I love this palette and it's really easy to blend with the good quality brush that I will keep after I use all the palette, I'm quite pale, but do tan, so the colours look great on me for a little bit of everyday change in my look or a glamorous look. I use Naked Basics for everyday.
Thanks for sharing the shades in the new Naked 3 palette. Appreciated! I would also like to leave a note/request that when you talk about the shades that you don't say certain colours are for the crease. Bc they can be used for more than the crease. I'm sure you're saying that to help but makeup isn't meant to be limiting. Thanks!!
Jen, thanks for this great review. I always enjoy watching you do make ups and reviews as you have such a cheerful personality. Great job - keep it up! i'm notreally into palettes as I have a very bad habit of not finishing all the colors but I finally succumbed to Naked2!! :D
From the products you love (which are so similar to my favorites), I'd recommend the TooFaced Chocolate Bar palette- the color pay off is amazing (UD is still my favorite), they all smell like chocolate, an amazing highlight shade and mostly neutrals! I really think you'd like it.
