We used to catch monster barras in those drains and a little creek under the pipelines heading out to blue water, watch the big crocs but you have to balance on the pipelines to fish, better at night but watch for big hungry lizards 🦎

Fish the edge of the break wall on the right next to that pilon at night. 95cm Barra of there always get some when I’m up there and tuns of finger marks grunter ect alpine wier when it flows big Barra but popular now

Relatively new to the ville as well. I'm limited to land based. Where about was that rock bar? Wouldn't mind giving it a crack sometime.

Ive caught barras there in the past on medium tides and just as the water starts to hit the top of the rocks

Hey brother for the drains Go on a smaller tide at low when theres no run. Between 1.5 to 2m. That drain u were at wait till the gates down also can be good barra there pressed up against it waiting for it to open.

@abhooked tbh I haven't hit the drains in months as everyone gives it too me saying "is that the only place you fish" so been going to creeks and beaches to mix the content up but then you go and upload this - makes me wanna go do another drain sesh video 😅

Actually Robert Towns was just the money man from Sydney and only visited Townsville once and said it’s full of bogan woman and not to name the town after him. It was Black and Ross that come up from Bowen to start a new port. 👍🏻 And that spot behind the old dump site was prime back in the day.

@@abhooked yep, and the Ross Island hotel. 👍🏻 Bowen was going to be the Capital of North Queensland but they couldn’t get shit across the Burdekin during wet season so they went and started Townsville.

Hey mate. Its your choice but I would remove the drone footage of the strand and northern side of ross creek. Only needs someone to report to CASA. Even minis require licensing and permits in this area

Few weeks ago i took the boat to pallaranda ramp but was too rough, so i drove to loam island only to find that id forgotten my lures lol so I just went home instead 😂
