So true for me too:) I love Rise Against since watching this in 2005, and that video inspired me, like many others, to train - I used to do some of the easier tricks here. Now I'm watching it to inspire myself again after a couple of years of sitting on my ass watching youtube. Hm...
To those watching this in 2021. You're a real one. I remember watching when it first came out. It inspired me to learn parkour with my cousins and we made so many great memories together over the years. I was only about 9 at the time. Honestly, there is just something so damn nostalgic about this video that it never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
@@NightlifeSux According to the video description, this video was from a stunt group “EMC Monkeys”. They are headed by the stunt performer featured in the video; Xin Sarith Wuku. A simple Google search should show you the rest.
18 years ago... dear God it feels like yesterday!!! I remember watching this on repeat with my cousin and trying so hard to copy these guys from the video, practicing parkour all day long haha... Some simpler times, wish I could go back just for a single day :)
I met Xin, Danny and Philip when I was 15 years old when they were touring with Tina Turner 12 years ago, I still keep in touch with Xin to this very day and the last thing he said to me was "Our paths will cross again little bro" and when I was on a trip in Hong Kong in 2015, we literally walked right passed each other and he remembered me! it was the most surreal experiance of my life. I don't think this dude actually realises how much of an influence he has been on my entire life. I'm 27 now and still follow his ethics. EMC4LIFE
I’d just like to remind everyone that at one time, this used to be the most viewed video on all of RU-vid. So nuts. Really puts everything in perspective.
I ran through my neighbours garden and got shouted at countless times hahaha! The nostalgia is real with this one! And I was really 10 years old when this video was released! ('95 here)
Man, coming back to this video after all these years and it still brings a smile to my face like it did before. This video holds a place in youtube history as one of the original viral videos. Shout out to all the other people who started freerunning because of this video like myself
This dude right here was my neighbor growing up living across from the elementary school. Always training in the garage. I got so much love for my city & the people in it, this is Westminster heart & soul. I was reading all these comments on how this video is legendary & so as the gentleman in it! P.s. thanks for helping me save that pigeon in the garage all those years back.
8 year old me thought this was the coolest shit ever, and now at 23 I gotta say this still holds up pretty darn well. Especially the Rise Against, which I have this video to thank for still liking.
Man this video should be protected and listed in some sort of hall of fame and never be taken down.... so we never forget what we first saw when we accessed this new website called youtube. So fucking awesome, i get shivers down the spine when i see and listen this, can't belive soon to be 16 years since i first saw this.
Im 50, need a hobby and hoping to start a channel but not decided on the content yet, hence why there is one duff video on it just as a test really. Very hard to get noticed these days because of the way the top contributors are promoted on social media. RU-vid used to be a more level playing field. Not anymore unless you are really lucky.
Crazy how its 2024, im 35, and showing this to my 11 and 8 year old, still practicing parkour and freeruning and training others to do the same for police training in 2024. A single video can change someones life forever and for the good.
When I watched this years ago... I was just a kid in my parent's basement with Cheeto dust on my fingers. Now I'm an adult watching in the kitchen of my own house with Flaming Hot Cheeto dust on my fingers... time really does change a lot.
I was 10 when I watched this video for the first time. I started training freerunning and tricking soon after. It's strange to admit, but this video had an extreme impact on my teenage years and my weight loss back then. The nostalgia of rewatching it after 14 years really hits home. Gonna leave it right here with a big thank you🙏 for the memories and the positive influence
Not sure why everyone says its "such good quality" - maybe because it's a popular thing to say, but the quality is mid-2000s quality. It doesn't look any better than the quality of a video taken by a fat webcam from that time.
I check in on this Vid every year pretty consistently, I remember when Rise Against was the talk of the lunch table in our group. Can't believe I'm 32 now, and this song came out when I was 14, and I found the Video when I was 15/16. Holy shit time goes by quick. To all the people who are my age ( Looking back, it was a great time wasn't it?)
Rise Against came on my buddies spotify shuffle the other day and for some reason I thought of this video that I hadn't seen since freshmen year in high school. Now here I am watching it again at 33 and thinking back to those golden days. Still wouldn't trade them for anything.
When I was a toddler, I played this video on loop in my living room whilst doing “parkour” on the couches. I love this video. I am so happy that I finally found it again! ;)
I remember watching this video back in elementary school and now watching it again in 2021 I realized that the buildings from 0:15 - 0:30 is Golden West College in HB, CA where I ended up going.
Cheek, that's true! I was outside everyday skating too! The only time I was inside was to either sleep or play Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 on PS1 when the weather was shitty. And as soon as the sun came out, we got outside again and were so hyped by the tricks we did in the game that we trained every day to get new tricks down! I remember that we watched Rudney Mullen (For those who don't know: The grandfather of Skateboarding) to get us even more pumped up! No worries at that time in my life... Well...
I can't believe this video is almost 15 years old. I remember watching this for the fist time in High School back in 2007 in the library. He wanted me to hook me up with Parkour and I ended up hooking up with Rose Against hahahahaha
It´s been almost 18 years now since I saw the video. I was able back then to talk to them and can´t stop remembering feeling like a ninja everywhere I went. Thanks a lot, and long life xifu
This video's gonna outlive the malls it was filmed in. I saw this vid in third grade, and its been in my favorites playlist since then. I'm pretty close to thirty now. Still one of my fave rise against tracks!
I first saw this video back when I was in 9th grade, now I'm 29 years old with a house, wife, and 3 kids. Time flies. So much nostalgia with this vid, back when RU-vid was great.
it was a long time ago that i watched this video. it really brings back good memories of my childhood with my best friend(: we watched it so many times together. this was back when everyone used msn and youtube was new
Good ol days of Naruto, Halo 2, My Chemical Romance, Transformers, Over sized white Tees, MySpace, Tokyo Drift, RuneScape, IPods, High School/ middle school drama, who the hell was Logan Paul, Fall out boy, Green Day, Rise Against, World Cup 06, Trump was still likable. Yes I’m glad we lived those days :,)
Good quality too. Both the video and audio. I just watched this 2005 480p video and right after listened to the song on spotify in 2024. There is barely any difference to audio quality.
Every few years I come back to this video. Still has a special place in my heart, and I'm still impressed by these guys all these years later. Makes you wonder how're they're doing, and what ninja village they're Hokage in now. #Never4getUrbanNinja
Remember watching this when I was 10. I can still see the ending of the video of him on the ground like it was yesterday. Rare breed of us to come back to this video-kept me out the house doing things no kid should be doing LOL :) . I remember I wanted to see Xin at a segment he was doing on a talk show in CT. He emailed me(my mom) back and let me know that he appreciates my support but the talk show was something I wasn’t going to enjoy for the time he was going to be on stage HAHA. Amazing how this video floods me with memories of an easier time. I also read from comments that you got into some HUGE PROJECTS congrats. Grateful to you Xin.
XIN SARITH AZUMA PHAN WUKU. A name i'll never forget. I was about listen to the latest album of Rise Against and all the memories of "urban ninja" came back.
Omg I remember i was 9 years old and obsessed by ninja's and parkour. Me and my friend got inspired by this video and started doing dumb stuff like freerunning on roofs. Sometimes when we were on roofs we saw people taking their phone and call somebody so we always thought they were calling the police on us so we ran away to my home to hide for nothing. Then the next day at school we told everybody that we ran away from cops using our parkour skills 😂😂😂 best time of my life. I still talk to my old friend i'm going to send him this vid.
