Thank you so, so much 🧡 I'm really glad that these are helpful for you! I hope the urge suppression and toilet positioning video (which should be live Sunday I think!) help you with the last remaining symptoms you have!

Thank you for these videos. Look forward to the next one. Feel like all doctors want to do is give u meds and thought there must be something I could do besides just taking another med. Feel like my bladder has a mind of its own and am now feeling like I at least have some tools to try to control this. Thank you!

I'm SO glad that these videos are giving you some hope/options other than meds! The bladder really can feel like it "has a mind of its own" since it is SUCH a trainable organ. If these techniques in isolation help but don't help fully, pelvic physical therapy is another, non-pharmaceutical option! Sometimes there are physical components to overactive bladder that a good pelvic PT can help you identify and work towards correcting, and you can pair the physical with the brain-bladder retraining! If you live in the US, you can use this directory to find a provider near you: pelvicrehab.com/ I hope that these tools give you some relief, and the proper toilet positioning/final video should be up probably Sunday 🧡

Just discovered your channel and it's been 2 years, but I watched the entire series and this was EXTREMELY helpful. I know my primary irritant is 22oz of coffee 😂and I'll have to reckon with that, but I also know I have vaginal prolapse and need to see my ob/gyn soon. Anyway, thank you so much for this information!🙌🏾✌🏾

Thanks for the video, this is very helpful. Does Pelvic Congestion Syndrome cause bladder issues?
@PelvicEmpowerment
@PelvicEmpowerment 3 года назад
I'm so glad this video was helpful for you! And yes, unfortunately pelvic congestion can affect the bladder and cause issues. Pelvic congestion and fluid retention tend to go hand in hand, and if the veins near the bladder are retaining fluid/more dilated, that can irritate the bladder and cause bladder spasms, which feel like urgency, and can make someone feel like they have to pee often. I'm so sorry that you or someone you love is struggling with pelvic congestion, and I truly hope you or they are able to find healing and relief soon 🧡

Hi, thanks for the video. I had abdominal myomectomy 8 months ago which of the biggest one (9 cm) pushing my bladder. During the recovery period i've been diagnosed by OAB. The doctor advised me medication. I used that pill for three months with bladder training. Almost two months i keep on blade training but there emerges sudden unexpected urges and those times i challenge with my bladder diary and with leakage. This situation really puts me down, upset. Can this type of pelvic surgery cause a nerve damage? Can I heal from this situation? Thanks for your all your efforts and response in advance. Regards.

I'm so sorry to learn that you're navigating OAB post fibroid removal. These kinds of pelvic surgeries can cause nerve damage, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's what's happened to you. Have you considered pelvic PT at all? Sometimes the pelvic floor responds to surgery (a form of trauma) by contracting - a protective mechanism - and it forgets to let go, which can cause urgency and urge incontinence. A good pelvic PT would be able to assess your pelvic floor, your abdomen, your scar tissue, and the surrounding tissue and help you intervene appropriately if any of that is involved! If you live in the US, you can use this directory to find a provider near you: pelvicrehab.com/ Don't give up on your body's ability to heal! Bodies are AMAZING and capable of SO much healing when we support them with the right environments, and yours is NO exception. It's just figuring out what those environments look like that can be so tricky, and that requires embracing trial and error. You got this 🧡

"Sit on the toilet properly before you start peeing" Well, easy to say....
@PelvicEmpowerment
@PelvicEmpowerment 2 года назад
Yes, much easier to say! But be kind to yourself throughout the process - accidents can be a part of it, but it's better to fail trying than to rush to the toilet and barely make it when it comes to this kind of brain-bladder retraining ❤️

I have mixed incontinence and bowel leakage which is a complete nightmare my life is ruined.I am doing kegal exercises however i think my muscles are weak based on tightness due to stress as i also clench my jaw.It will take a miracle for things to improve.

I really hope you're able to find an experienced pelvic PT in your area to add to your healthcare team who can help you heal. Mixed incontinence and fecal incontinence can feel so heavy and embarrassing, which can make healing feel insurmountable. While those feelings are valid, it doesn't mean they're true! It doesn't mean your body can't re-learn, improve, and heal 🧡
