Yes that's true. Medicine was just in its infancy. I like the time very much, but if I were in the 19th century I wouldn't let a doctor come to me. One of my biggest fears would be that bloodletting would cause and that it would get infected. (Sorry if it sounds strange. English is not my mother tongue)

I had strep and got the hole dang experience: every med that wasn’t just for strep would made me vomit my guts out, if I ate tOo much I’d vomit my guts out,and if I took that gawd awful med(probably the worst part)when it wasn’t needed you can guess what happens . Worse 2 weeks of my life👍🏽👍🏽
