Brilliantly explosive progressive rock track by the great great great Uriah Heep.. How, it captures the wild mood of the 70's but, equally reserves high acclaim and position in the 21st century...
Uriah Heep at their best. This song is deeply engraved into my brain. People will listen to such songs even centuries to come. Rock music on that quality level has stand the test of time. I feel so blessed that I was growing up with the music of the 60s and 70s. For my generation this music meant so much, it was a cultural and spiritual revolution. There was the feeling of a whole generation that there could be a better world ...
Recorded live in Birmingham. I shouted gypsy about ten times in between songs. Amazed when they used it on the album. My only claim to fame. Still got the program.
RIP, also, GARY THAIN and DAVID BYRON ...the moog was borrowed by the kind courtesy of MANFRED MANN...anyway, it was the beginning for the synthesisers those times...wonderful, irrepeatable and magnificent times
i’m 56, just missed these guys live by a few years, one of my favorite bands, criminal how underrated they were then, David Byron, was, in my unbiased opinion, the best Rock singer of that era, of all time really, here come the robert plant fanatics, and ian gillan fans, just my opinion great song from a killer band
Remember they could and did play at extremely high volume back then! This group was amazing to hear and feel blowing your pants on your legs!!! Really loud, really good! Love the Heep!
This is how it all started for me. My endless search for what I'm still searching for. I was 13 when i bought my first Heep album. Very 'eavy very 'umble.
Heep fans has lost another one rip ken hensley and lee kerslake Heep should be voted into the rock hall a fame before their all gone but they put notorious big is going to be inducted. In the hall of fame not right its not right
@@derrotepaul3485 Richtig.

When it comes to British hard rock, the sacred triangle of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath immediately comes to mind. If it was a quadrilateral, however, there is no doubt that the vacancy would occupy the Uriah Heep....
July Morning...
Gypsies came from India to Europe in the Dark Ages. With them they brought knowledge of the third eye and how to use a crystal ball. So did the Three wise men when they left India to be blessed by the baby Jesus. The Gypsies were persecuted by some Christians. But now we are out of the Dark Ages. The ancient truths are being revealed again.
I like the way you put that, Phil! Scary thing is ... I know the gear you are referencing. Keyboardist/guitarist here. I had the pleasure of meeting KH when he lived here in St. Louis for a time. He was working on some new songs and had some rough-cut recordings he shared with us. Honestly... the only lyric I can recall was something like ... "Let me be me ... simple and free." Not sure if he ever did anything with that song or not. It was pretty cool though for this twenty-something 'kid'. Nice rock & roll memory.
Gr.
I remember at 17 we'd listen to this song in my friends dark basement after toking joints of Colombian. The whole Moog syth thing was essentially still knew and psychedelic had become technified .
FASE ÁUREA DA BANDA. ESTE SHOW FOI SIMPLESMENTE FANATÁSTICO GRUPO DE EXCELENTES MÚSICOS, PORÉM COM A SAÍDA DE BYRON NUNCA MAIS FOI O MESMO . AOS POUCOS A BANDA SAIU DE CENA PERDEU SUA CARACTERÍSTICA QUE O CARACTERIZOU COM UMA DAS MELHORES BANDA DE ROCK DA DÉCADA DE 1970. VIDA LONGA AO ROCK ANS ROLL
