I had the honor of studying with Dr. Bronfenbrenner as an undergraduate student of Human Services Studies in 1985-87 at Cornell's NYS College of Human Ecology. My gratitude wells for the interaction with every new moment I am granted in this experience of human play and wonder we call life. This talk is precious for so many reasons. Personally, it beamed me right back in to that rather cold, boxy lecture room in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, in the company of one of the most brilliant, humble, joyful minds and storytellers who ever graced the earth. Regretfully, my maturity, at the time, was such that I failed to take full advantage of the opportunity. That said, the memory and experience retains a special place in my heart, and will so until its final beats. It provided an invaluable framing and set of principles for my life-course. Thanks for sharing the video of this lecture, and all my best to the other Bronfenbrenner fans out there.
