My school recently did Urinetown and I don't know about you, but the percussion book was generally disappointing for me. Not many big moments besides Snuff.

Hey, I’m also a drummer in an orchestra, but I don’t Play loud, because I don’t want the rest of the orceshtra to hear that im doing Some things wrong. But most of the times I Play the whole spng without a mistake. Do tou have Some tips to Play louder?

Do you ever wear headphones during these performances? At my school the pit all wears them and we get the sound from everyone on stage's mics if I'm not mistaken.

Yes sometimes I wear headphones, or I have a monitor by me. My most recent video for Big Fish, I had in ear monitors in. This can be good and bad. When everything is working, it's great! When a mic goes out or there is static, it's terrible.

What does it take to start doing percussion for shows? Any type of theatre? I am a theatre nerd and a percussionist myself.

how do rehearsals work for orchestra pit gigs like this? do you have to bring your kit to rehearsals every time? are there even rehearsals before tech week?

It seems like the whole orchestra is playing ahead of the conductor. I know playing on beat or behind. But what is happening here and why? It's confusing me to listen and to look at the conductor at the same time in this video.

It could just be the recording. Also, the vocals would seem off since we’re set up backstage
