Yes, this new Urusei Yatsura revival is connected to the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan (Takahashi's publisher). They've announced they are doing four projects connected to this celebration with Urusei Yatsura being one of them. I'd love it if Ranma was one of those four. Realistically I don't think they would do more than one project connected with Takahashi's work as part of this event, but as you said I do hope that the excitement around this new Urusei Yatsura could spur some interest in Ranma finally having some closure to its anime adaptation. And yes, I too hope UY finally gets a dub (more than just the limited English dubbing they received over the years).

Yeah, I think she definitely could still play her. I'm hoping when they get to the Inaba episodes that show some of the cast in the future that perhaps they might have the original cast play their older selves. I think that would be a neat bit of casting.
