Playing the mono-blue cedh urza myself, this is one deck I am looking forward the most to build. Some good tips here, but what I really find lacking is reality chip, which is the most obvious instant win combo with Lord protector and Sensei’s top. The new urza, unlike the old, does not win by himself with infinite mana, so focusing so much on that seems a bit excessive.
This is so similar to my build its scary, and awesome! I built it as a stax deck at first since Urza allows me to break parity with my stax pieces and/or the type of stax I play don't affect my plays. Traditionally, I went the artifact route and found three consistent win lines. One of them, surprisingly, was one not involving Displacer Kitten. Card completely flew under my radar of things that where possible in an artifact themed deck that when I saw this video and you explain your combo lines, I felt genuinely stupid lol. So glad I found this cuz it opened my mind to new ideas, is very descriptive and informative, and I also enjoy the other deck crafting ideas in other uploads in case one didn't want to float on the artifact boat most people would when trying to make this guy. Keep up the great stuff
Thank you so much for this comment! I'm glad you got value from the vid! Displacers biggest drawback is it was released at a weird time I think! ^_^ have you got your list online? Keen to take a look
@@scoopinresponse hello! Checking back on my previous-now deleted reply. RU-vid doesn't like links to other sites in comments for some reason so I wasn't able to leave my list here :(
Just started building my new urza Lord protector deck yesterday. I'm making a cross between this and super friends. Love the videos!! Theyve gave me some great ideas and routes to take with building it!!
@@scoopinresponse lol so true . Would you even consider Stenn in this deck or does it not make sense? I've tested it on moxfield and so far I dont think you need it at all. Maybe in your superfriends list
@@frankyg821 I think both sten and cloud key would be excellent cards with this commander generally but I couldn't find room in this build. I think if you were powering it down a little and pushing up the curve into big mana though you would want them, things like guilded lotus and coveted jewel to accellerate into 9/10 mana creatures would be a really good reason for them
I think the commander himself is pretty decent, but I eventually concluded that Shorikai is probably better in UW control style decks as the card advantage is more useful than the discounting. It was a hell of a lot of fun playing him. I think I got megazord urza planeswalker out maybe 2 or 3 times in the 20-30 or so I played with him.
this is really cool! until you realize that looking at the selection of cards means you have to cough up 6k to play the deck. Then it all seems pointless.
@@jaiamos2019 this is a cedh deck, so I wouldnt recommend it in a regular group, but most cedh groups allow proxies. Also most that is the mishras workshop, it's more than half the price of the deck ^_^
