Who doesn’t absolutely love these cars? It’s what hooked me back in the day. So cool.

No computers, no fuel injections, no turbos, just raw in your face no holds bar motors, whether they were carbureted with dull tunnel Rams or straight carbureted or blowing these were pure and simple

Went there in 1975 for my 11th birthday, was the national wheelie championship. Moved to Pennsylvania that summer and when I moved back to Chicago Heights, Illinois in 1982 the track was closed.

Thanks for sharing this! I used to go there every week in early seventies, and remember a lot of those cars. Great times, was sad to see US30 close..

Good times cool flick , and Love it when the guys actually wore the baseball caps in the right direction , flipped just looks stupid 🤪 and white T shirts and blue jeans are cooler than black ones, why is everyone wearing so much black amongst racers these days !? 😵‍💫😏
