US Fears War with Hezbollah Could Overwhelm Israel's Iron Dome | Firstpost America
Officials from the United States have raised concerns about a full-blown war between Lebanon-based Hezbollah and Israel. They say that Hezbollah could overwhelm Israel's Iron Dome defence system, which is a crucial part of the country's military capabilities. Earlier this month, Hezbollah claimed to strike and damage an Iron Dome battery and Israeli officials were reportedly surprised at the sophistication of Hezbollah's strikes. With the rising tensions along the border, Israel is planning to shift resources from Gaza to the north and is preparing for a land and air incursion into Lebanon. Meanwhile, the US has promised to provide additional defence systems and Iron Dome replenishments to Israel in case of a war.

It appears to result from the aloofness and sheer arrogance of the current Israeli government in simply refusing to acknowledge others and insisting on everything being their way or the highway. I have to ask their officials, wouldn't it simply be easier and cheaper to bury the axe, acknowledge the achievements of your neighbors' mutual respect, and move on to peaceful coexistence and normalization of relations across the region and Muslim world. Also, shifting the Israeli economy away from the military industrial complex to the consumer and industrial complex. That entire region represents a huge market for Israeli goods and services and vice versa. The region has a lot of potential which would benefit the world. People are tired and fed up of this entrenched conflict...
