I think the war in Ukraine with Russia has highlighted the losses of tanks , planes and ships as well as the expenditure of missiles and munitions that in a war no one is easily able to replace them once used.

He warned the the USSR had surpassed USA badly. Within ten years there was no USSR. The topic of this video took the words out of my mouth - I am not a 'war pig', 'war monger' or a 'war hawk' but - I believe that here in America we need to have a strong military and defense - I don't mean purposely preparing for war - but to always keep manufacturing and inventing, innovating, and improving our weapons stock and supplies - nuclear and non-nuclear. The defense industry should be a major employer as well, and in doing so, help support a strong middle class of workers. The colleges should be training grounds for weapons designers and inventors so grads find good paying jobs in the defense sector after college. And the same goes for other countries' defense sectors (UK, Japan, Taiwan, Israel, Ukraine, etc.) - be a major employer for your citizens, and make sure to never find yourselves short on armaments and weapons - in case things heat up in the world. Apparently this is what has been happening here in the US according to this video.

Even if they are exaggerating things a bit, the threat is still very real. NATO beating China, Russia, North Korea (one of the biggest armies in the world), Iran and probably a couple others would be a very tall order. There is no guarantee NATO would win this type of conflict. I pray it doesn't happen.
