Thousands of US and Philippine troops conducted joint land, sea and air manoeuvres during the annual Balikatan drills on May 6, 2024. The war games were carried out amid increased confrontations involving Chinese and Philippine vessels around disputed shoals in the South China Sea, and stepped-up Chinese air and naval activity in the region.

Philippines is a nice candidate as The Ukraine of Asia. The US is desperate to strategically weakening China and ultimately slowing Asia, and Philippines under Marcos is dreaming that US will fight against China, win against China, grab the disputed areas, and present it as a gift to Philippines. I think It's important that the *Philippines* focus prioritizing the development of more uplifting fairytales. The current fairy tale on the Battle of Yultong where 900 Filipino soldiers won against 50,000 Chinese soldiers is not working to uplift the ever-plummeting morale of the Philippine army and navy. In Ukraine case, NATO military was having a drill around the Russian border, NATO kept saying on how they will defend Ukraine in case of war, then they threw Ukraine under the bus. Meanwhile Ph opened more US bases. Don't forget that Ukraine's military power is much more higher than Ph. Also Ukraine is surrounded by NATO countries and can easily getting weapon supplies. Now compare it with Ph.
