I tried a similar move when we played a game last year in 2019. Though I am not sure whether the move is legal in the 1940 second edition. But I put carriers loaded with fighters and destroyers in the SZ 102 as a blocking force, and some destroyers in SZ 89 and SZ 101 preventing German subs from getting to my transports building up. However the German Player gifted me the U Boats by trying to go down and block me from doing the Torch landings. I was able to eliminate this threat, and then fly some fighters on my non combat move to Britain, and also send a bomber or two to Britain. The rest went to the Torch landings in Africa. One can also position their transports to Liberate Brazil as soon as the end of the third turn as occurred to get the extra Infantry to Shuck to Africa, or indeed be used to invade Venezuela with some extra infantry from the U.S to get an extra 2 income, and then head to Africa the following turn. I know I have used Brazil in the past putting a Minor Factory on it, to Shuck units to Africa to ease the burden on the American factories in the U.S. Long range units such as fighters to make it to Africa, or even infantry to send to Africa and allow the reinforcement of Britain with some units.

Hey that banner looks awfully familiar ;-)You HAVE TO go to the Atlantic every game, mostly while looking like going pacific. Polar express too easy to defeat. Japan puts 9 IN and 3 Ftrs in Korea and minor IC. 18 infantry ain't gonna take it. So there. ;-)
TERRY JACKSON not really. all japan has to do is build a major IC on Korea. with 21 Ftrs and infantry all your armies are banther fodder before US can even enter the war

Teflon 2017 not sure if you've seen siredbloods operation green shores video, but on turn 4 if you can link up some American forces with the 18 Russians in Siberia it's tough for Japan.. give that video a watch it's interesting, I was always a fan of pacific first strategy, but now it's the only way I go
TERRY JACKSON TJ,. Ive experienced SB's Japan counter to that in person. those 18 go away fast. i couldnt even get a bomber from Moscow in time to join the planned offensive. all japan has to do is negate Mongol rule. SB mentions that in his vid. Tef
