If either country had any interest in stopping the cartels, they would legalize and regulate the drug trade. A lot would have to be done to do it properly, but it would take the funds away from the cartels and put it in the hands of the countries. I like many in Mexico are shocked and concerned about the amount of people in both countries being killed by the drug they are selling to people now. Just read a report that drug deaths are down I hope that is true . But this has been coming for a long time
