just heard this version on greys and automatically recognized it as you guys! so cool!

Even though Taylor Swift switched from country to "pop", I can still feel her country essence. The type of music may have changed but the words/lyrics from her songs are still there. I'm glad she didn't write about sex or drugs or songs that have no meaning. This music video and the cover itself really showed the meaning of the song. Kudos to you Us The Duo for covering this song. Just remember everybody that when everybody is against you and telling negative stuff about you.. just.. you know.. Shake it Off :)

I think slowly down the song allowed people to realize the real meaning of the song. Many people thought that Taylor Swift, this very tiny girl, was shaking "an ass she didnt have", but it isnt about that. She is shaking the comments off, all the negativity she gets from "fans". People dont understand, she had what, millions of fans on social media, at least a few thousand arent the nicest of fans, imagine dealing with that. People all over the world have to, maybe not to the degree of hers, but I think the Us The Duo did an amazing job of bringing the true meaning of this song out. (Not saying that Taylor didnt, love to listen to her song when I am down. Always lifts my spirits!)

This is so beyond 'Just turn off notifications' or 'Just block them and you won't see it.' It's literally telling the person to not get themselves bullied, not telling the bully not to abuse. It's on par with telling a rape victim not to wear a particular item of clothing because they are saying they consent rape.

When you hear this song on the radio this song has a different meaning, but kudos to US for converting it to a message of hope and strength. They are absolutely spot on with their cover and video interpretation....there will ALWAYS be critics, but we all have it in us to rise above that and we need to be better about "shaking it (criticism) off".

I heard this cover on grey's and I went to tumblr like "ok where is that shake it off cover" and I'm glad I found it. Favorite cover! (over ryan adams, and that's tough) Good job!!!
