possibly details of your sister's college, study etc. Do you have the invitation, where will you stay. Why they should trust that you will come back, your backgrounds etc. Are parents going or not, if not why. What is your sister's plan post study - I am assuming these can be the questions

You can create a profile in the in Scheduling site given in description box of this video. While scheduling , you can add dependents or family members against that individual's DS160 number. Then you both can schedule same slot together. You need to opt for language at the embassy during interview. So once you are there, opt for Hindi. For your child, dont think it is needed. When you arrive in US, does Border Control or Immigration Officer ask for your complete Itinerary at the immigration counter or simply Return Air tickets and hotel reservations would suffice?
you can only check the available slots after you fill from DS160. Using that application number you should go to schedule portal and create your profile there , make the payment and then check for available dates

You need to log in to the scheduling portal, create your profile and provide DS-160 confirmation number - then you can see Payment tab. The scheduling portal link is given in description box
sure they can, no need to mention in application. Once you are in for the interview, they will ask what language you are comfortable with - yu can mention Hindi there

your travel history definitely helps, but along with that you should prepare for Why you are going to US, how authentic and credible your answers are plus your reason to come back (your job can be one strong reason) - if you focus on these highly likely you will get it
there is a separate website which I have given link in description. You should go there, register, create profile, Start an application with passport number, DS160 confirmation number and few other info, then on the left side you should "Schedule Appointment" , under which you have to first make the payment.

Hello Shivani, thanks for reaching out. Aap step by step follow karo, first fill DS-160 for both of you , then make the payment and book slot and finally prepare for interview. But this will be tourist or short stay visa - we may not have all details if you want to settle in US. In that case I think you need a job and the company should sponsor your visa

Hi, I have a small query. The friend whom I am visiting in San Francisco next month, has recently shifted to a new apartment. Should I get an updated letter of Invitation from him, stating his new address? I suppose, The Immigration Authority could ask for the letter of Invitation at the Airport Arrival since they’ll be definitely asking my US visit purpose.

Everything which you have mentioned in your DS-160, be it your college/grad degrees, past and present work experience, NOC, Monthly income, Financial Background, your assets/properties, Bank Balance, term deposits, Credit card statements, SIPs, stock investment, Letter of Invitation and each and everything which you have specified in your DS-160. make sure to take Coloured copies of all. The same may be asked or may not..depends on the Consular and your answers!
We got mail regarding cancellation of interview which is in March end-2024 due to minor mistake in form filling. Can we update it now to get same interview date? Or we have to pay fees again for getting interview date? Links in cancellation mail are not working showing error
you should mail to support team (email id given in description box), my understanding is , you may not need to pay again , but update the form and book the slot again. Dont think you will get same slot, however recommend to check with support team

hello not needed if her other documents carry the same name as passport. My wife’s passport also doesn’t have my surname - absolutely not an issue. Carry marriage certificate as an extra proof

no you can make updates in your DS160 by retrieving the already filled DS-160. You should get a new application number That new application number should be updated in your Appointment Confirmation. You can do that online or mentioning the same to the Biometric Centre. So that they can update it. However will recommend wait for the new passport to avoid the hassle

everyone needs to fill separate DS160, depending on the age of kids you can check whether they need or not by dropping an email to support. For interview, you can link all the Ds160 together and book one slot. You need to add others as dependent while booking the slot. you can tie back to India as your parents are here and if you have your investments here. Also if there is any house or property here. In terms of Bank Balance, depends on your length of tour, if you have flight and hotels booked, 1.5 lac INR is sufficient for a week tour in US. But you have to mention your reasons clearly which should comply with B1/B2 purpose. For waiting time, you can check but I dont think slots available before 1 year (atleast in India)

you should be clear with your plan. If you are working in India, you should have some document saying your 1 month leave is approved. Basically the idea is provide as much concrete plan as possible - that is why we presented a very crisp 7 day itinerary. Which flight is best to visit US? I have heard traveling with Air India (AI) is ok. However, your immigration takes atleast 1-2 hrs when you arrive in US!! And the Authority directs you to enter into a separate line only for AI travellers! Is that so? So many have suggested to avoid AI flights and choose others.
not totally sure, but recently we saw Emirates & Lufthansa in good rates - so you can choose them. However no first hand experience with Air India, some mentioned their Business Class is good

Hey, having a travel history is good to have, not a mandatory or guaranteed attribute for VISA. If you have clarity on why going to USA and show reasons for you to come back (which can be established by the fact that you visited multiple countries earlier and came back) - then it should not be an issue to get VISA

you should be getting two slot booking options, first one is OFC or Biometric and once you block that, you should be redirected to book VAC or the actual interview slot. Only if you book both, your appointment is confirmed.

However, after that I didn't get any option to select Consular post and was automatically given Consular Appointment in Chennai. But I want both my appointments in Delhi only. sorry question samajh nahi aaya pura. After confirmation you can save the confirmation page of DS160. And you can link DS160 form at the time of payment using same log in details
yes you can keep after DS160, but it is more of a steady flow they want to see. You can show FDs or MF investment as well. There is no soecific number on how much fund,consider 25k-30k per day apart from flights. So for 7 day trip around 2lac will do if your flight is booked, if not then around 3.5lac. But these are just indicative numbers, we dont have exact idea on this

I also work in Govt. Deptt under Finance Ministry and yes, in our case, we have to apply for 2 NOCs; 1. Application for filing VISA for traveling abroad. 2. After VISA is approved then we have to apply for another NOC i.e. for Permission to visit abroad. In govt organisations they have become very strict these days! Though the good thing is everything is online and no paperwork is required.

In your appointment confirmation document, the fee payment details are already mentioned, just take complete appointment confirmation (11 pages) with you and fee payment receipt wont be required. They didn’t ask me either during my OFC.
