In an interview for Al Mayadeen, a National Security reporter at The Washington Times, Dan Boylan, revealed Washington's current state of confusion and concern over "Israel's" assassination of the head of H-am-as' Political Bureau, Is-ma-il Ha-niy-eh.
According to Boylan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Pentagon were kept in the dark about the operation, underscoring a significant lapse in communication and coordination. He emphasized that such high-level operations are often kept tightly under wraps, involving only a few key players.
Boylan also pointed to the Biden administration's growing frustration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has frequently ignored US guidance. Despite that and Netanyahu's declining popularity in "Israel", he addressed Congress last week, "where he basically explained, in some sense, he almost inferred I'm going to do what I want to do." Boylan suggested that Netanyahu might have been more forthcoming with former President Donald Trump.
