Meanwhile the most popular chips bag in Finland is 325 grams 😅 Smallest are around 70g, then there are variations between 150-275 grams. There are two big chips companies selling in Finland (other is Finnish, other is Swedish) and the Finnish one produces the 325gram ”Megabag” which is the most popular size amongst the Swedish company’s 275 gram bag.
Magic Masala is so popular here in Canada that before, it used to be imported only from India. Now, it's manufactured in Canada. Same with the cream and onion flavour.
So true when I was in Canada I saw it everywhere, every gas station convenience store had it and it sure didn’t disappoint the Masala flavor was real good. Wish we had them here in the US 😅
Yes you can't really open the Indian chips packets by tugging on both sides at the top, you have to tear down! I was so shocked when I moved abroad and the packets were so easy to pull open lol
There are even more flavours in wafer style in India.. including a purple one and a yellow brown one. This entire flavour line is just out of this world!
I don't know if anyone remembers or not but a long time ago, India had a 'Mint Mischief' flavour and I swear it was the best flavour that Lay's has ever made to this date. They have been discontinued for a long time now but I'd love to see them back on the market.
I swear I had the Limón flavour chips in India. But the diversity in flavours in USA is mind boggling. I wanna try then especially that honey mustard and ranch flavour. They all look so yum. Why the hell Lay's India isn't launching more flavours?
To be fair, Pringles are not technically potatoe chips. They are a combination of a bunch of different items (including potatoes) to make their salty snack so their shape and rigidness are from that. And yeah. Lays doesn't, they just use potatoes straight when they cut them and use them.
@@kuebbyOh word. I deliver the bagged ones, the Stax are something we never touch so I didn't know that (the videos we've ever been told say the products are straight potatoes so I assumed they meant all the products we have). That being said, I wouldn't have included either of them in the video as being ACTUAL potatoe chips.
I wonder if you can order India's chips online and they can ship them from the India to the US because I would totally do that. I would love to try India's chips they have some good varieties, especially spicy ones. I love spice. Also Nikhil you're amazing and Joe Keep Food Wars alive my man.
@@DustyJones1997BGCL Satya is correct; check the closest Indian supermarket. In case you were wondering, the Masala flavor is absolutely worth the hype. US stores need to start stocking it!!
As an Indian, I don't eat Lays much, it's only AIR inside. I would go for Bikaji/Haldiram snacks which have quantity as well as quantity anyday. But, If I were to choose among the Indian Lay's flavors, I would surely go for India's Magic masala, it has a nice tinge to it but is not at all spicy for majority of Indians. Even, Lays Max isn't that spicy as it is rumored to be.
Yes support local for vocal try Balaji chips our very own lay company of India by an Indian , i kid not the chips and value of money amazing , Balaji brand everything is good its owner is a gujju guy and his every flavour and product is mind blowing, yes also bikaner , haldiram and many more local and top brands sell better than freeto lay company.
Food Wars has quickly become my favorite series. These guys are hilarious to me, and Joe's just one of those guys that we all want in our friend group that will always be funny without trying to be. Love these two!
It's strange even with Pakistan and India being neighbouring countries but the flavours and colours are different. In Pakistan, the masala lays are red, green is yogurt and herb, orange is French onion, blue is paprika (arguably the best), and the classic yellow for salty.
They only introduced them during the ICC world cup i think. 6 new flavours were launched and only 2 popular ones still remain (lime & chilli and I don't remember the other one).
Yes! Blue Lays in India has a childhood nostalgia factor in its taste while the current best ones imo are the salt and pepper (British 'crisps' salt and vinegar) and chile and lemon.
Blue lays is like a drug. You can't get over this. This shit should sell everywhere because it's damn good. Want to say that there are few lays chips that are missing. Where is baked ones?
@@swastikadas3104 the flavour has deteriorated over the years in my opinion. American Cream and Onion is still the same. Hot n Chilli then pushed it down further.
Potassium Chloride (KCl) when ingested is relatively safe as not all of it is absorbed. For a comparison, toxic dose of ingested KCl is about 3/4th that of NaCl (table salt). So you can eat it without worries, unless your binging has caused you toxicity from NaCl in the past. KCl when administered directly into blood is pretty dangerous though in much lower quantity
Just today, I bought 3 types of Lays: West Indies, Lime and Magic Masala. And then I discover this video, hehe. It was fun and informative. As an Indian, I want to try most of US chips, too. Especially Jalapeño. Also, I disliked the tomato flavoured chips for a long time but they grew on me as I got older. They have a lot of flavour.
The cream and onion used to be my favorite until I also had a new favorite of Wafer style salt&pepper..too good👌 Nik and Joe you guys are so radiant and joyful, loved the ep❤
I agree with Joe; Lay’s Stax is crap compared to actual Pringles. Mainly because Pringles is designed in a true, saddle-geometric form optimized for tube packaging, while Stax is in a simple, flat-curve form and vulnerable to breaking in its tube. Also, the flavoring on Stax isn’t evenly distributed and the shell is so thick and rubbery.
In India, we buy a packet of air with a few Lays chips in it! 😄The Rs 10 bag has an average 10-15 chips in it (Yes, I counted). 🙃 Having said that, American Sour Cream and Onion flavour Lays are the BEST!! 👍
YEES! This is by far one of the best comparisons ever. This is mostly because India has amazing options for lays in my opinion. Fantastic video by the way! :)
@@nixtronmagnumgaming8781 I'm borwn so idk if I can gaive a fair opnion but I like them better, and even tho they charge a 4X markup here, it's still cheaper than the US version.
@@Kudusworld bhai i do support local for vocal Balaji Inka baap hai , i would rather support my countrymen products than these franchise who eat up our half of the economy.
The guy is just biased against the Stax because he doesn’t know the history of. I wish these people would stop judging before tasting. He likes salt and vinegar(🤮), but hates stax? Give me a break. 🙄
As Indian My favourite Lays is SunDried Chillies We Also have Balagi Wafars and it is better than Lays 18:43 I also love those chips that they make right there at shop potato and Banana chips and also have different flavours
The major difference between the Lays in India and America seems to be that Indian ones have more flavor while American ones are more on the classical crispy side of things, I think? (Never had an American Lays so I'm just speculating) I think Lays started out in America so them keeping the classical concept and India having the flavors does make sense geographically.
Yeah, definitely seemed like the American are more crispy ( like you, never had the American ones) But I have eaten the Indian ones and they definitely have a lot of flavour.
I lived in Dubai for 10 years and I seriously miss the Chilli flavor Lays. That thing is heaven. We don't get this in India. I thought the wafer style sundried chilli would match the flavor but nope.
eh I mean you can get a lot for more 30rs here than a tiny lays packet. An average samosa here is 15rs, so you can probably get lunch for 30rs here if you're not looking for a full heavy meal.
Lol 30 bucks for lays yea , i can get a whole 200gm or 150gm bana chips , fresh fried potato chips , chilli flavoured other sort of snacks chevda , roasted green gram with salt and spices and so on.
The best Lay's flavour to have ever existed in the Lay's multiverse is Lay's Chaat Street Golguppa And Lays Chaat Street Bindaas Bhel Style. I can fight you for it.
That's farmers protection bill. No company or organization can claim patent OR rights to own seeds or saplings of any plant or trees in India. The farmers can own or use the seeds or saplings of any plants or crops OR trees according to their own. Though Growing certain types trees on some areas require certain government body approvals.
india's lays packs are packed in a rippable way because it prevents from moisture entering! and also because lil shop vendors hang their lays as continuous un-ripped chains of packs 😁 and the usual indian lays are wavy becausd it packs more flavor compared to the flat ones, which caters to our palates which needs strong flavor!
Does anyone remember the taste of the OG blue lays. I remember the seasoning was different like 17 years ago. When I was a kid. They have changed something.
i'm kinda envious with the amount of flavours you guys have here in brazil we have original, sour cream, cheddar, salt and vingear, barbecue and cream cheese and also the sensações line that have grilled chicken and turkey sometimes we have limited edition flavours as well, for festivals and the uefa champions league but they are usually voted and people don't know how to vote, we lost the chance of getting a ribs pack and i'm still salty
Everybody sees Lay's in this video , me falling in love with these both guys😂 Seriously the both are looking very perfect and behave very maturely... I love you ... Opps .. sorry ❤
I like the Barbecue flavored Lay's. I live in India, but I got to try them out in France while on vacation and I must say that I am hooked on Lay's Barbecue compared to other Lay's flavors not available in India.
One flavor I didn't see *anywhere* that we have in my home country is "sour cream and mushrooms". It started as a seasonal flavor back in the early 2000s and it has stuck since then. It's actually my favorite flavor EVER and I am so bummed I can't find it anywhere else
Cream& onion is the best flavor ever!!!!!! And then the masala one those 2 are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 but 1 is better for me. And quick note It is the same flavor in Pringles as well,😂😂😂😂 I just love it!!! [Cream& onion]
