Thank you! Yes it is a peony. I had planted either Sorbet or Coral Sunset root in that spot. Definitely it is not either of those. That's why I was wondering what variety this is. I have 3 other varieties of peonies in different parts of the garden.
Hi Anu. Thank you. I bought one of mine from the David Austin website. Other I found in Lowes in early spring. Lowes will carry 3-4 varieties in early spring. If you want a specific variety the website is a better option.
Thank you so much Elizabeth. In the backyard majority I started from seed, some from dividing the plants I had in the front yard, and other bought as plants or roots.
Hi , I see you have run chicken wire in your fence . Is it possible to show some videos regarding that . I have having issues with squirrels , rabbits eating all my plants
Thank you! We are in VA. Foxgloves in FL is most likely a shade plant. Also they are biennials. So they will flower only the second year and die after flowering. Did you buy an already flowering plant? Unless it set seeds (which most of the big box stores ones don't) they will die after flowering.
I think most of lavender is hardy to only zone 9. Not sure what your zone is. Lavender being a mediterranean plant, needs really well draining soil. It doesn't like soggy feet. So I'd say amend your soil with sand, make a mound with the soil, and plant the lavender on the mount.
I bought these from Home Depot Online. Plants are small compared to what you get in stores. So I wouldn't recommend unless you want something that is not usually available in stores. I have bought from Gilbert H. Wild and Son, which is a small nursery. They had good buy one get one free deal. Even though their plants were small very good condition and are blooming first year itself. For black spot, I'd try Neem oil first. If that doesn't work you can use Bayer Rose Care. This is not good for the bees so I spray it only in late evening after all the bees are gone.
