Very experienced euro teams like Yugoslavia (with the croatian main stars) and outstanding basketball school, and the soviet te. am(with lithuanian main stars) where playing U.S. college stars and NO ONE complained. In fact, they were told to bring their best like the yugo and soviet pros did. When this happened in 1992 with the original (and real) Dream Team, and with the Balkans disaster , Serbia started crying foul because they would have "defeated" the Dream Team. Also David Stern' s desire to globalize the NBA helped to convince players to partciipate in 1992. Don't dishonor the sacrifice of all the great global players
Como le ha competido España (2008, 2012) al que para mí ha sido el segundo mejor Dream Team de la historia de EEUU, nadie más ha conseguido algo parecido. Con mis respetos a la antigua Yugoslavia y URSS.
@@cienciahistoriayverdades2673 Nunca lo sabremos, hablo de hechos no de hipótesis que suponen algo que no se puede comprobar, por tanto, asegurar con esa rotundidad me parece como poco arriesgado. Si nos ponemos a hacer suposiciones, me parece más plausible suponer que si USA hubiera llevado equipos profesionales de la NBA de primer nivel, en lugar de equipos de la liga universitaria, todos los años que tanto Yugoslavia como la URSS ganaron mundiales, etc, cuando todavía no se habían dividido, ahora el palmarés de ambas sería muy inferior.
pero si miras el partido, vas a ver que los estados unido hicieron la diferencia cuando divac recibio el quinto personal. Y tambien la lesion de Savic fue un gran golpe por los serbios, porque no tenian el otro centro a competir contra robinson oneal y olajuwon.

Too bad you never showed the first half.. wasn't one-way traffic v Yugoslavia, barely scrapped a 5 point lead at the half. The only time the Dream team was ever tested. Won the game because key players fouled out, hence the final score. Show the first half for all to see!!!
Serbians argued that a USA led " conspiracy" prevented them from playing against the 1992 Dream Team and possibly beating them. The USA 1996 Team fully answered their allegations! 😊
Nobody said that, how many times you played in finals against Serbia… Why didnt you play against Burkina Faso or Ethiopia finals, yes because Serbia is second most talented nation in basketball with 7mil people compared to 350 US, no need for hatred, Serbia doesnt hate any nation.
@@rokibalboa996 If Serbia really was the 2nd best, they would be 2nd for Olympic medals and Eurobasket results but that's just not true. Spain, Lithuania and Italy are the 3 European teams with the highest amount of Eurobasket medals. Do not mix Serbia with Jugoslavia. Serbia is a country currently existint, Jugoslavia was the combination of all the balkan countries basically. Those are two very different things.
@@giuseppemaggio5894 If you compare that Italy has 58 million people and Spain 48mil, for country that has now about 6.6mil people living here, we have MVP of NBA multiple times, Bogdanovic, Marjanovic, Jovic, Radivoj Korać, Divac, Paspalj… And even what you call Yugoslavia- Dražen Petrović had Serbian father and Dončić has Serbian roots also, I would like that Yugoslavia never existed, we also have the best tennis player in world, waterpolo we are also very good, for tiny Serbia I think we did our best to show the world our reputation, Yugoslavia was mistake…
I have only ever heard people say that it was a shame the country broke apart just before the Olympics so that the Yugoslavian team with Serbian, Croatian, Montenegrian players and players from all over Yugoslavia couldn't have faced the US dream team. Croatia gained independence from Yugoslavia and they played the best against the dream team in 1992, then in 1996 what was left of Yugoslavia (just Serbia and Montenegro) gave the US the best fight out of all the countries. I wish that Yugoslavia vs USA game happened in 1992, even though I wasn't born yet in 1992 I would have been able to watch it on RU-vid, obviously.
