The biggest Quake Live LAN event is finally here. Like previous years, the tournament will be divided into different tournaments throughout 3 days.
On Thursday, day 1 we'll see a focus on Quakelive Duel.
On Friday, the second day, the granddaddy of First-Person Shooters returns - Intel QUAKEWORLD 2on2 Team Deathmatch Open will take place on regular QuakeCon stream.
Last but certainly not least, day 3 will wrap it all up with two grand finals - Quake Live duel and QuakeWorld 2on2.

Quake III OSP probably. Quakeworld is still about as hardcore as it gets though. Fucking insane for a 25 year old game.

@@miguelpereira9859 Sure, but that was the peoples choice for the entire history of Q3. That's what Quake Live adopted. CPM is a tiny scene with a handful of players, none of them known outside the scene, and mostly made up of Q1 godfathers. OSP, however....

@@TheVanillatech vQ3 just feels so restrictive in what you can do, CPM, QW and Q4 are so much more fun. Plus Q3 just had a bigger scene because it was a mainline Quake game when Quake was still relevant. And I say this as someone who grew up with the game

i wish yall would do a qw ctf tournament. QWCTF is still by far my favorite iteration of ctf to date. that would be a great tournament to watch.

QuakeWorld is so damn fun even nowadays. Sucks that it doesn't have more players. Also, anyone know where I can find those upscaled versions of the HUD fonts? Like on the timer and health and the font on the name tag above the health?

you can download nquake.com that comes with a bunch of graphic options. If you prefer to add it yourself, download them at gfx.quakeworld.nu

It's still useless for teamplay as you start with all weps. No control of weapons, no control of areas or powerups which is the entire basis of teamplay dm

Clan Arena has different strategies, in terms of moving to different places in the map according to the number of enemies and health your team collectively has. It takes a different kind of strategy once you play with people who regularly have above 40 percent rail accuracy. It's slower and less fun that QW, theres no question, but its still much better than TDM for QL at least
